Hey guys,
I am in f-1 visa, which is still valid for 3 more years. Although my I-20 for my current major is going to expire this december, i decide to double major in economics , thus expanding my(by my intl student advisor)  i-20 validity for one more year, i.e. 12/25/2013. Now , heres the deal: I am married to a U.S citizen. I am going home on Jan and plan on staying for three months. Does anyone here has anyknowledge, expereince , if that is gonna create any problem for me to enter the U.S? (at the port of entry) . I have not filed for my status change, so does the change in my martial status get reported to USCIS? your suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank YOu.

Yes you might have problem at POE. Since you are married to a U.S citizen and you are on f1, which means you can change ur status anytime. So to prevent that they might give you a problem.

Best option. Apply for a change of status, apply for a travel document and leave. But best option is to get your green card, which might take u 3 months and leave.  ....Don't take chances...
good luck..
