I am trying to book a room at Club Himalaya and just wondering if they offer different rates for Nepalese ?
or is it the same for everyone ?

Should i book it online ?

Anyone have experience ?

you will get better rate if you call them once you reach Nepal. the online rate is standard for "gaathwala aka maaldar" guests. also haggle the price a bit coz they lose money when noone is sleeping in the room. who knows, they might even include free food if you negotiate properly. first call their reservation directly and get a quote and then call other local travel agents and compare and save.

if they have multiple room types, book a cheap one and once you get to the front desk, ask them politely for a complimentary upgrade. if the front desk people cant do it, politely ask for a manager. remember, you dont lose nothing by asking!

on a different note,  Hotel Chautari isnt bad either and you may want to consider that option as well. there was another hotel in par with Chautari but I forgot the name.

I was there once, They give me 50% discount for being Nepali. I  went there in person asked about the rate, the guy handed me the brochure . My   expression  was as if it was too expensive ( it was  expensive for me). I think it all depends on which time of the year you are there. The guy changed the tone  if it is for nepali we give 50% discount, he said. I accepted.
RTegarding the food. I ate in local dish in restaurent which was tasty and less expensive as well.
