Serving his last year as the President of the US, Barack Obama has enacted into law a new provision that ties in Department of Homeland Security with online security. According to the press release, since illegal immigrants are a threat to national defense, their social activity needed to be reduced and ended from social sites such as Facebook.

Unconfirmed sources say that Facebook has already agreed to this provision. The next social sites in line are LinkedIn and MySpace. Facebook owner Zuckerberg was not available for comment but Facebook has unveiled a website link to check if your account will be affected. Facebook has given 7 days for these users to download their information after which their account will be permanently closed. Users are encouraged to check if their account are marked for deletion by following this link.

 I just saw the login page of the facebook. Does that mean I am legally in USA? Can I throw away my passport and tell the officers to just follow this link?
