Codeme, best thing to do is pick a school and discuss this with admission. 4 years should be enough IMO, but they will be the one to make the call. Good luck.

Hi,

Based on my experience, firstfall your friend needs to decide on which school and what program he wants to get enrolled into.

Normally, schools will have a list of agencies (or whatever they call it), that verifies the equivalency of foreign degree and send the result directly  to the school that you are planning to apply. Based on their evaluations, they will tell you whether you can or cannot join the Masters program directly. Normally, 4 yrs degree from Nepal will be equivalent to 4 yrs degree here.

Then, school might suggest you what other classes you need to take in order to get into their Masters program.

Saying that, there are some schools that donot require GMAT but most of them do need certain score both in TOEFL and GMAT even for the application to be considered.

Good Luck to your fren..not having to worry about status itself a great asset and most of the school offer in-state tution fee if you are able to get into the same state's school after staying in that state for a year ( which is almost half of what international students have to pay ) !!

I hope this will help him !!

Hi,but there is a fatual error in your posting. BBS in Nepal is 3 years course, only BBA is 4 years. That means you may have to do one year Pre MBA bridge course from some US university to be eligible for MBA

so, does that mean US MBA programs will consider students with a 4 year Nepali BBA degree? Any chances of getting scholarships? If yes, what determines whether you get scholarships or not?

where is he located. there are some universities that allows 1 year of bridge program to join master directly if your degree is 3 years only.
