So I need to get my PP renewed and my citizenship card is nowhere to be found. How should I go about this? Has anybody been in this situation before?

You have to send your old passport, that may be enough. Have you renewed before , if it is the same place/office they may have record.

When the passport is renewed, what is the issuance date put on it? Is it the day since the previous passport expired or the actual date of issuance? I'm wondering what would happen if my current passport was to expire while they are renewing it.
