Have you been to Nepali events in the US and cringed at the speeches given in English? Why can't Nepali organizations allow members who speak better english to give speeches rather than have someone slaughter the english language. It looks like a very unprofessional organization when you invite colleagues at work to attend nepali parties and the speeches in English are utter failures.

haha most of the time, the officials of the Nepali organization are DV holders no offence to them. God bless them. But they should seriously stick to giving speech in Nepali. It's a shame how educated Nepalis in US are not involved in many of these local organizations.

I saw a program "Nepal Nachcha- Dallas" in youtube. Its meant to be a Nepali program. But everyone from host to attendees were trying their best to make as if they don't know Nepali language. The party was western type. One guy even told "Nepali ramro sanga bolna audaina". The only thing Nepali about that was the title. So, what's the point in calling it a nepali event when nothing was like Nepal?

 This is America folks. I appreciate those who speak English. Please don't tell those who wants to learn, not to speak English.
