 Hello there,
I am planning to take PE Exam In NY. I have heard that its tough to get approved the registration.I dont have any other state license for reciprocity. I have almost 6 yrs Exp.( 2yrs in Nepal after undergrad +4yrs in US after master in civil Engg).If any body has taken this license currently, Please share your ecperience in preaparing the application. Your help will be highly appreciated.

They need 4 yrs exp. for ABET degree and 6 yrs for NonABET. Our degree from Nepal is considered non ABET, they dont care even if you have an ABET masters. If you have 6 yrs experience then you are almost there. 2 yrs experience from Nepal is not equivalent to 2 yrs of US experience. Wherever you work you need to show design experience, any field experience or teaching doesnt count much.

You will have to submit your transcripts directly from TU and its verification/evaluation by NYS will take a while. So its always good to start your application process before completing the required experience. If you start your application after completing the required experience you will loose at least a year by the time your application is complete.
