Kathmandu, Nepal

Few weeks after the Indian serial was aired in Zee TV in which the birthplace of Lord Buddha was mistakenly mentioned as India, there has been turmoil within the ruling Maoist Party as to which politician can maintain the law and order and win the people's heart by saving their most important treasured priceless item of pride.

After spending few days in closed room brain storming session, Prachanda and Baburam emerged out of the meeting holding hand with a big smile in their face. Prachanda, the fierce one claimed to have found the perfect way to respond to such false Indian propaganda. He said that the Nepalese House of Representatives have voted on few prominent changes so that noone can ever make any attempt to make any false claims about the birthplace of Buddha.

"Buddha has been one of the main focal point in Nepali peoples' lives and it has very detrimental effect on the well being of Nepali society when foreign agents try to take away such an important part of our present and history." Baburam Bhattarai said in a press release. "In order to serve and protect the Nepali citizens from any potential robbers who try to take away this universal truth, we have decided to emblazon our flag with Buddha Eyes instead of the chandra and surya which are remnants of shah bansh. The top portion of the flag will have the two eyes of Buddha and the bottom part will be a statement 'Birthplace of Buddha' and instead of the red and white bordering area on the triangle, we will have picture of mountain sagarmatha." He added.

And in and unparalled statement, the duo Prachanda and Baburam proclaimed that the name of Nepal to be changed to "Buddhadesh".  "The name sounds like Bangladesh, which is another country in our asian subcontinent. This name change will make sure the people don't have to explain to foreigners that Nepal is a birthplace of Buddha anymore since the name itself means that."

After getting standing ovation from the public and the others present at the Press Release, Prachanda went on to say. "We have also decided to change our national anthem again to save the birthplace of Buddha. We have decided to change our national anthem to the song by Dhiraj Rai, which goes "Buddha was born in Nepal", with a minor change to the lyrics. Instead of the 2nd and 3rd paragraph being Gurkha and Tenzing were born in Nepal, we will change it to Prachanda and Baburam also born in Nepal. Now we will never need to protect the fact that Buddha was born in Nepal. Jai Nepal. Jai Buddha."

The changes are supposed to take place during the next meeting of the House of Representatives.
