DIG Parbati Thapa is standing up for her rights and is challenging Home Minister, Policer Headquaters, and Home Ministry. She is such a courageous lady. If she wins this case, more Nepalese men and women will find courage to stand up against corruption in Nepal and have faith in the court system of Nepal. She was way senior and qualified than Aryal who got promoted because of his connection with the ministers of Nepal. She was supposed to be the first woman Police Chief in the world on Novemeber 15, 2013. Let's support her in every way possible to get the justice she deserves. Her victory is commonman's victory against corrupt government.

DIG Thapa challenges AIG Aryal's promotion at SC
REPUBLICA
KATHMANDU, Nov 7: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) against the promotion of Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police Upendra Kanta Aryal.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Parbati Thapa, who is one of the contenders for the post of AIG, moved the apex court on Thursday urging the court to scrap the government decision to promote Aryal.
Thapa has claimed that Aryal, who is junior to her, was promoted to the post of AIG because of his access and influence. The apex court is scheduled to conduct a hearing on the writ petition on Sunday.
A cabinet meeting held on last Thursday had promoted DIG Aryal to the post of AIG. The government had taken the decision as incumbent Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kuber Singh Rana will retire on November 15.
Similarly, AIGs Navaraj Dhakal, Bhishma Prasain, Ganga Pandey, Dinkar Shumsher and Pushkal Regmi will also retire on November 15. Following their retirement, Aryal will be the only one contender to hold the post of IGP.
The Prime Minister´s office, Police Headquarters and the Home Ministry, among others, are named as defendants in the writ petition.
