Hi, just wanted to get some info on bringing Spouse from Nepal on F2A category. I currently have GC for little less than 2 yrs now.
I thought I saw some threads regarding this topic earlier but couldn't find it. So, even redirection to such thread would be helpful :)
How long does it take to process the application (from I-130 to Counselor Visa interview)? I am aware that processing time varies upon individual case but just want to have a general idea for such cases with Nepalese passport.
A month or so ago, the Priority Date (PD) was showing as Current however it has now retrogressed to 8th Sept. What implications will that have on processing time?
let's say, once the I-130 is Approved and PD reached meaning being Current, will the paperwork for further Counseling be forward to me here at US or the beneficiary at Nepal or both?
OR
Does the Petitioner need to initiate the Counselor Processing?
