Anthony, I don't have anybody traveling to the u.s anytime soon but let me share you my experience. My grand parents came here last week by themselves. They were in their late 70's and I couldn't find any companion either so I purchased the ticket with the preference of wheelchair and they haven't had any trouble at all. They came here safe and sound without any problem.. Since they couldn't communicate in English so what I did was I told my relatives to make a notecard for each things that they wanted to ask. For example: in order to ask i need a water to the air hostess, I made a note in English and Nepali language so that if they wanted the water they can show the notecard to the air hostess. That's how I made all the notecard and they said it helped them a lot. Long story short if you couldn't find any companion just tell the airlines to make the ticket as wheelchair preference and everything will be easy. Hope this helps. Good luck and have a nice time with your family.
