Hi Can anyone share/suggest any experience about carrying about 3 Invicta watches as gift while traveling to Nepal? What are the conditions in the custom in TIA? Do I have to pay taxes? Thanks in advance.

You want us to share experience about carrying 3 Invicta watches? That's a pretty specific experience I'd say. Sorry, never carried 3 Invictas; but last time I was there, custom was too lax. My stuff didn't go through any check but I am guessing it is much strickter now.

dont ask, dont tell. keep quiet about your "invicta" watches at customs and you will be fine.

Hazard
There was an article posted about custom fees depending upon the size of flatscreen TVs. Do a search and you will find the cost.

Yes, they do have specific rules regarding how much you can import duty free. Following links have the details.

http://www.customs.gov.np/contents/Legislation/Acts---Regulation/13/
http://www.customs.gov.np/download.php?&f=Baggage%20Rules%202066%20Final.pdf&dir=contents

Usually the customs don't ask any questions or require declaration forms, but personally, I prefer to stay close to the allowed duty free limits. Based on "Baggage Rule 2065 (English)" document, It seems if you are Nepali Citizen going back to Nepal after a year you can carry gifts duty free that are worth up to Rs. 10,000 per passenger.
