In a democratic country, people should be allowed to voice their concerns publicly, but recent trends in Nepal supressing Tibetan voices have set a wrong precedence to our democratic values versus foreign dominance.

China is blatantly abusing it's size and powers by forcing Nepal govt to take undue and improper legal actions against Tibetan demonstrators.

To top it off, the Nepal police do not have a sense of propriety with respect to handling female protestors.

These morons don't understand that to fight for their rights in some other country is not politically acceptable esp in the country which is ally to China. India doesn't(not a good relation with China) care so, they let it do it. Nepal is different than India and can't do these shi-ts there. Had they been fighting for their rights in their own country, would have made sense. And even more surprising is that they have Nepalese citizenship and they do stuffs like these. But, there are bulk group of Tibetans who think Nepal is their home and don't really care about China and politics. So, lets not mix all Tibetans living in Nepal in one bowl. I've no respect for these second group who are constantly creating scenes in the name of freedom. Even Dalai Lama doesn't have intrinsic support for this fight, he is out there in the world and with leaders talking about suppressed Tibetan people, not asking them to raid China and there are elements within Tibetan people who dislike Dalai Lama more than we know. These undocumented Tibetan should be thankful to Nepalese Government for giving them refuge instead of resisting the authority who gave them place to leave.

In regards to these news surfacing how Tibetans are being suppressed, well go to India and do that sh-t, not in Nepal. And those international medias, they're the crappiest liars history has ever known. Don't believe me, check CNN, how they've changing their news everyday on missing Malaysian plane, even a chameleon would be ashamed of changing it's color with that frequency. And this particular image is another trickiest photography of our own kaput National media depicting story differently. Images can be easily distorted to relay totally different message. I'm not gonna buy this and what happened after that shot, nobody knows. Try not to believe so fondly whatever you see and hear. I

I still have support for them in their fight, but not like this.

This is nothing new. Not just the Tibetans but Tibetan children with nepali parent(who are Legal Nepali citizens) were also treated the same way since their arrival in the the 1960's to present.
Nepali police have always had that BANDAR KO HAAT MA NARIWAL MENTALITY. you never know what they will do.. Ppl dun call them Dhideys for nothing..

I feel this is as much a case of a compassion deficit as a case of geopolitics. While our strategic interests require us to prevent Nepal from becoming a hotbed of anti-Chinese or anti-Indian activities, the high-handedness of our police is uncalled for. Managing dissidence has never been a strong point of our police force and political classes alike.

It is possible to keep a check on anti-China activities without brutalizing Tibetans. The individual Tibetan in Nepal is deserving of our sympathy, however differently we may view the role of China in the region.

It is a terrible thing to lose your homeland to a bullying neighbor. It might be hard for those of us with a country to conceive but think of the horror of losing your roots, heritage, history, culture - all at one fell swoop. People live with the loss all their lives and pass it on to their children. It is easy to pick on some Tibetans in Nepal who have indulged themselves in vulgar extravagance and illicit wealth but such people are not representative samples of the Tibetans living in Nepal. The vast majority of them are simple and hard working people who have been our neighbors for thousands of years and become innocent victims of expansionism and power games. They are people like us who have run into a misfortune we would dread for ourselves and not wish on our worst enemies.

A little empathy will take us a long way in dealing with the issue. We need to feel a little more secured about our relations with China and not try to ingratiate ourselves to paranoid Chinese bureaucrats at every opportunity. That only makes us look feeble and encourages the Chinese to keep making such demands. That strategy has worked before and can work again. After all China too needs us , just like we need them, sometimes much more so than we think. A hostile Nepal allied to American and Indian military interests is the last thing a visionary China would want in South Asia.
