Most of the girls in Nepal are married by the age of their late 20s. I have few girlfriends who are already married and got kids. Some of them have boyfriends, some with fiances. This is about a friend of mine.

Thanks to Facebook, Viber, Whatsapp and other social apps, it’s been a lot more complicated to keep track of things. I mean people are always in touch with each other. Yea it is good most of the times but somewhere I feel that we are losing the thing called privacy.

Often my friends use Viber to send in messages. So couple of days back one of my friends, infact send me an SMS. When people send SMS these days, I feel they mean serious business. She inquired of I can meet her immediately. Since I was at work, I promised her to see after work, the same day. Her relationship has been bothering her for past couple of months but she has not spoken much about it with anyone in the group.

That evening when I saw her, I shocked me. She is one of the strongest girls I have known. Honestly, she looked like a wreck. Her eyes were all swollen and red due to crying, she was in her worse clothes ( I think she hasn’t even taken a bath), her hair was messed up. So I guess this is extremely serious. We sat down in one extreme corner of the coffee shop where normally we hang out. I thought it would be more comfortable for her to vent out things.

The story goes  way:- They have been seeing each other for past 2 years. He is possessive and controlling (well most of us are at times so it is taken normal). I think he cares about her, most of the time. But he is extremely moody. She is an independent woman with a good job and a good appearance. She had never disclosed that he physically abuse her. This was the second or the third time that he had hit her. And she doesn’t know what to do about it. I even asked her if she had provoked him physically to get such reaction, to which the answer was a big NO.

We all have arguments and tussles even over nitty gritty things. I think it is very normal when two people live together or be in a relationship. It is part of the package. But how you handle it is a complete different ball game. Either you work on it or you move out of it. For me, the first day he hit me is the last day of that relationship. There is no consideration with violence. I was amazed by my friend’s decision to stick with him. Is love blind or stupid? Is self esteem so cheap? Would you compromise with such things in life?

Finally I told her to think from her heart and her head together. Sometimes it is very difficult to let go of things you really like, but this is for the best. Her reply….But I love him so much!!! ( I rest my case here)

In my class, there used to be kind of attractive girl. i still remember her name......nurse banchu bhanthee bani hola.
(really! that's what i did in school, in college and even in the university. full focus on girls, even mam in some case. :)

back to the story. In class, most of the guys used to hit on her as she was attractive.

ek din i went to cochin bit early and I noticed, the bench next to her was vacant.
That's it. Every dog has a day(seaaruuu :) so gaye ani uni sangai basey.
was chatting with her. (gad gad bhairako thiye man manai. khusiko seema nai thiyena.)
tara eershya garne ja pani huncan, sajha ma ta bhetinchan..LoL..

pacadi ko ek jana dahadely le jealous bhayera sunauna thali halyo, "yeta pani sit xa, kina teta baseko and bla bla.."
rees uthera ayo. mero palo ta jealous bhais bhanee ani khurukka uthera ayera pacaadi ko bench ma gayera base.
(he's lucky as at that time it's not the presnt sojo keto :))
the girl was asking me to come back and sit with her avoiding all those crappy stuff of that creepy guy.
afu lato eksure thiye..gaina pacadee nai murmurera basirahey.. that's it. i think i never got a chance to speak with her again as that was almost end of the
coching class.
i remember the name of the guy as well. it's ramesh..

well! not really jabarjasti, just my way to express my dedication and appreciation. :)
Again, for me no formality in a fair relationship and feelings those emerges from heart. yaa!sounds like surreal, however that's how it is,
at least for me. i always get very cozy with my man pareko girl even before marriage..after marriage probably not :P

I liked your story and fell sorry for you. But then I started thinking about your story and had these questions?
When you went to sit besides her, did you talk to her? Did you use to talk with her before?

Of course! I did. But Story segment ma raica, instead of kurakani. I almost missed it, but how could I? :)

Correct me if I am wrong, however, I feel your story kinda bit similar to old days hindi movie story. However, there are some significant parts in your story which are really interesting.
( I like the part "Aama falling into love @ 15 with a guy 10 years elder to her and eloping @ 16" :) that reveals something about me.. :) )
Besides, the way you write, it makes reader completely lost into it.
Why don't you start writing a novel?
I like Harry potter series and of course The Lord of the rings stuff though I haven't read the book.
Probably, some day I could be able to make a movie based on your best selling novel. :)

Of course, I used to talk with her and I did talk with her when I went to sit beside her.
