New York - August 23rd, 2014 - Miss Khusbu Mishra, from Ohio was crowned Miss Nepal US 2014 at the grand finale of the NRN Connect 4th Miss Nepal US beauty pageant held at Queens Theater in New York on August 23rd 2014. Along with the title of Miss Nepal US 2014, Khusbu won the title of Miss Culture and Tourism, Miss Scholastic Achievement, won a $5,000 scholarship (Sponsored by Rajshree Charitable Foundation) to continue her education, and a round trip air fare to Nepal (sponsored by World Air Link Travels). The first runner-up was Miss Sushama Sharma from California who earned a $3000 scholarship (sponsored by DTNY by Sweety). Similarly, Second runner-up honors, Miss Talent and a $2000 scholarship (sponsored by Chherty & Associates P.C.) were awarded to Miss Sushma Adhikari from Massachusetts.  The winner of Miss Nepal US 2014, Miss Mishra also appointed as Youth Ambassador of NRNA (North America) by the President of NRNA ICC Mr. Shesh Ghale. Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) is a non-governmental global organization established with the purpose of uniting and binding the Nepali Diaspora under one umbrella and currently NRNA have National Coordination Council (NCC) in 69 countries of the world.

Others sub-titles winners are;

Miss Personality - Pujan Paneru from Connecticut, Miss Discipline - Byakhya Lamichhaney from California, Miss Popular & Miss Friendly - Srijana Rai from California, Miss Photogenic - Sayal Shahi from California, Miss Nepal US Texas - Supriya Sharma, Miss Nepal US California - Kusma Kharel, Miss Nepal New York - Kabita Pahari. Congratulations to title & all sub-title winners!!!

The grand finale was inaugurated by Chief Guest; His Excellency Durga P. Bhattarai (Ambassador/ Permanent Representative of Nepal to UN) and Guest of Honor Shesh Ghale (President of NRNA ICC). The show was judged by famous personalities like Chief Judge Raveena Desraj Shrestha- multi award winner and one of the prominent figure in Nepal's Banking Industry, Myatee Martinez - International Model & American Actress, Sunny Gill – International Casting Director & President of Final Model Touch, Gita Khatri - President of INLS HQ, Dr. Upendra L. Karna - Advisor to the College of Engineering at the College of New Jersey, Sonam Lama – Deputy Regional Coordinator (North America) of NRNA ICC and Suraj Subba – National Award winning Movie Director/Writer of Nepal. Further, the title and subtitles announcement was done public directly after jury scores calculation by New York State Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Biraj Rijal & his team of Tax Raja Management Associates under direct supervisor of New York State Certified Attorney – Bashu Dev Phulara, Esq., Associate Attorney of Chhetry & Associates P.C. (NY). Winner of Miss Nepal US 2014 was crowned by Guest of Honor Shesh Ghale (NRNA ICC President) and New York based Famous Attorney at Law;  Thomas Mungoven, Esq.

Grand Finale of Miss Nepal US 2014 was packed with entertainment including first ever US Stage Performance by Youtube Sensation Bhim Niroula, National Award winning Singer Hemanata Rana, Choreographer and Dancer Dharambir Lama, Singer Tenzin Dolma, and a special presentation by the amazing 7 Summit Women Team. Further, the opening cultural presentation by 14 New York based Nepalese Community Organization; Unity in Diversity- Walk for Nepal was the one of the spectacular performance in the history of Miss Nepal US.

After 8 days of long training and workshop choreographed by famous Ramp Model and Choreographer Mr. Suresh Manandhar as well as trained by Miss Nepal World 2011 Malina Joshi & Participant Manager Anita Pathak, the 14 finalists representing New York, California, Hawaii, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, Connecticut, and Massachusetts selected through audition competed for the crown in NRN Connect 4th Miss Nepal US organized by Event Planet Inc, with support of E Planet Pvt. Ltd, Nepal and many local organizations. Well know Nepali Fashion Designer- Shama Banu was the official designer of Miss Nepal US 2014. The exclusive DHAKA collection by Miss Banu was presented by 14 finalist of Miss Nepal US 2014 during fusion round and evening gown segment of Grand Finale.

During the grand finale event, well know distinguished Nepalese American Community leaders & social activists Dr. Binod Shah (NRNA ICC Member of America), Rajendra B. Shrestha (Entrepreneur & Founder of Voyage to Shangrila; the show case of Nepal) and Passang Narbu Sherpa (Founder & Owner of Passang Striking Style) were honored by Miss Nepal US organizer for their continues support and guidance to organize Miss Nepal US event since 2011.

मिस नेपाल युएसएको चौथो संस्करण सम्पन्न खुस्बुको शिरमा ताज

इप्लानेट नेपाल ले अमेरिकाको इभेन्ट प्लानेट इन्कको सहकार्यमा गर्दै आएको प्रतियोगिता मिस नेपाल युएसएको चौथो संस्करणको अन्तिम प्रतिष्पर्धा गएराति सम्पन्न भएको छ । इप्लानेट नेपालका अध्यक्ष सन्तोष सापकोटाका अनुसार  नेपाली समय आइतबार दिउसो २ बजे अमेरिकाको क्विनस थिएटरमा सम्पन्न भएको मिस नेपाल युएसएको पूर्वसन्ध्यामा आयोजित ट्यालेन्ट शो मा प्रतियोगितामा सहभागि १४ जनाले आ आपनो प्रतिभा देखाएका थिए ।

न्युयोर्क स्थित क्वीन्स थिएटरमा सम्पन्न प्रतिष्पर्धाको निणार्यकद्घय बैकर रविना देशराज श्रेष्ठ तथा चलचित्र निर्देशक सुरज सुव्वा नाल्बो प्रतियोेगिताका लागि २ दिन अघि नै कार्यक्रमस्थल पुगेका थिए । पूर्व मिस नेपाल मलिना जोशीको संचालकत्व्वमा संचालन भएको यस वर्षको मिस नेपाल युएसएको चौथो संस्करणमा इन्टरनेशनल मोडल मेटी मार्टिनेज, डा. उपेन्द्र लाल कर्ण, गिता खत्रि, सन्नि गिल तथा सोनम लामा निर्णायक मण्डलिमा समाविष्ट थिए । एनआरएन अध्यक्ष शेष घले विशिष्ट अतिथि तथा अमेरिकाका लागि नेपाली राजदुत दुर्गा प्रसाद भटराइको प्रमुख आतिथ्यमा सम्पन्न कार्यक्रममा अतिथि कलाकारका रुपमा गायक हेमन्त राना, युट्युव हिट गायक भिम निरौला तथा धरमविर लामाले आ आपना सुपरहिट गित प्रस्तुत गरि कार्यक्रममा रोचकता थपेका थिए ।

कार्यक्रमको संयोजन ब्यवस्थापन अनिता पाठकले गरेकी थिइन भने कोरियोग्राफि शुरेस मानन्धरले गरेका थिए, प्रतियोगिताका लागि ड्रेस डिजाइन समा बानुले गरेकी थिइन् ।

प्रतियोगिता ३ चरणमा विभाजित थियो । ३ वटा राउण्डमा इभिनिड. गाउन, क्याजुएल वेयर तथा नेपाली ढाकाको पहिरन प्रतियोगिले स्टेजमा प्रदर्शन गरेका थिए । सबै पहिरन डिजाइनर समा वानुले तयार गरेकी थिइन् ।

मिस नेपाल युएसए २०१४ को ताज ओहियोकी खुस्बु मिश्रले पहिरेकी छिन् । प्रतियोगितामा सहभागि १४ जना प्रतिष्पर्धीलाइ उछिन्दै खुस्बुले उपाधिसंगै अमेरिकी डलर ५०० बरावरको छात्रवृति नेपाल आउने जाने हवाइ टिकट पाउनुका साथै चलचित्र निर्देशक सुरज सुव्वा नाल्बो को आगामी चलचित्र मा अभिनय गर्ने अवसर प्राप्त गरिन् ।

त्यस्तै प्रतियोगितामा क्यालिफोर्नियाकी शुष्मा शर्मा फस्ट रनर अप तथा नोरउडकी शुष्मा अधिकारीले सेकेण्ड रनर अप को उपाधि चुमेका छन् । उनिहरुले क्रमशः तीन हजार र दुइ हजार अमेरिकी डलर छात्रवृति स्वरुप प्राप्त गरेका छन् । यस वर्षको टिकट विक्रीबाट संकलित रकम मध्येको १० प्रतिशत रकम हालसालै सिन्धुपाल्चोकमा भएको वाढीपिडितलाइ राहत स्वरुप प्रदान गरिने कुरा आयोजकले जनाएको छ । यस अघि मिस नेपाल युएसए सुजिता वस्नेत, आस्था श्रेष्ठ तथा वर्तिका राइले ताज पहिरेका थिए ।
