I've heard there's a team of Nepali officials touring USA with a Booth. And they do on the spot passport renewal. Does anyone know where they are or how to track them.

Thanks,
Roshan

It is true.
Our government is so efficient, they find ways to get more efficient.
They have partnered with Google driverless cars. Next time you see a Google driverless car, get infront. The car will stop and Passport official will come out and give your passport instantly. They have the cameras in the car all around and they will scan your image, Google your profile and issue you a new MRP without any input from you.

Cause they don't have google driverless cars in Nepal. Try it for yourself. Get in front of one of those cars. I heard they are implementing it in those Google Map vehicles as well.

This is how it works

The officials bring bunch of blank passports and a printer to the car. As the car is approached by a Nepali, the camera uses facial recognization software to compare your face with the Nagarikta-Database. The database is basically a RDBS table consisting of scanned information from all old passports issued by the Nepali Government in the past. Once a facial match is found, Google's proprietary system issues a query about your old passport and transfers all the information to its cache. The printer then prints out this information in the blank passport.

Warning: Image taken by the camera will be used in your new passport, hence be careful not to make a stupid face in front of the camera when you are stopping the vehicle.

I have also heard Nepali embassy started 3D printing passport? Is that true?. I am so proud of being nepali and our government. Gorkhali ko buddhai lai ta mannai parcha hai. Even USA can't match our technology.
