Its about to be two years now since i filed my asylum application. i was in status until few months ago, now my status is pending asylum application. Lot of people said being in status, might delay your process. About asylum, different people give different suggestions. I wish someone can give me good suggestion what to do next. I don't have lawyer. Oh my case is in SF

hey Esmen, I am in the same boat. ALL I can say is keep calm and wait. In the mean time, since you are out of status, its better to hire a lawyer. Check the latest update from USCIS website, department of justice, and the local asylum office. Good news, back logged cases from the end of 2012 are being interviewed. Enjoy the weather, and date some asian girls, you will be fine. And Good luck!!!
