I don't know if there is any building standard in Kathmandu beside the max number of stories. If there is no standard as such then this is a high time to focus on zoning laws and building standars in kathmandu, and actually inforce them.

There are standards in place but no one followed. Ok stop this topic it's past. Please reach out different organization, community, charity, churches etc. for donation. Please focus on one particular topic instead of wondering around. My main goal should be to help as much we can.

My post was to inquire and also to raise awareness, it had nothing to do with religion!! I hope all the funds collected will help those injured and who have lost bread-winers. The government could also help in building new homes.

they may not have followed the codes but if you look at the pictures most newer buildings in the Kathmandu survived. Whereas older mud and brick buildings including heritage sites and homes in villages appear to have collapsed. this is just my observation from the pictures i have seen so far.
