I am always proponent of a belief that natural disaster can come anywhere anytime in this world. So then what would be the difference between same magnitude of earthquake in Nepal and developed country like US? The answer is preparedness. Nepal and nepalese were never prepared. I am sorry for all those lost lives but everyone knew it was coming but everyone behaved like it wouldn't come.

You can't blame everything to government and as I always said government is just a shadow of who we truly are. Though many people in sajha members oppose and claim that those corrupt leaders are not shadow of them but reality is they are shadows of majority of people in Nepal. Sorry to say but you can't kill your own shadow unless you kill yourself. However you can change your shadow by changing yourself first. Some people advocate Nepal needs a dictatorship but haven't we suffered from dictatorship in the name of "King" for so f**king years?. My point is nothing in this universe survive on it's own power. Someone or something has to fuel it to survive. Don't you get surprised sometime why on earth almost ALL of them are corrupt and isn't that bit strange or puzzling? That fuel and answer to that puzzle is our mindset. How many of people of kathmandu you know of have followed the building codes per instructions. As per my knowledge even my family didn't follow the rules though it's clearly written. People are making 6 or 7 story buildings even though it's instructed for only 2 story. In this case whose fault was that? Your's or governments? Oh hell yes, People can't even follow a basic sign like zebra crossing. we blame india for everything by calling them "Dhoti", "Madhise" etc but bitter truth is without them you can't even move a f**king plane. Oh hell yes you can't even entertain yourself without those indian channel. Without that 100:160 magic conversion number our economy would have flushed to toilet long time back.

It feels like now people are uniting together to help victims & raising an awareness for building better Nepal. I really really hope that we learn something from this disaster. It's just a realization that how prepared we are. The answer is 0. It's known truth that earthquake WILL hit again in Nepal. May be today, right now or next year or after 5 years. Unlike other natural disaster like tornados, hurricane, earthquake do not come with a warning sign. Mother nature do not care where the pashupati nath is. Even though you pray "Pashupati nath le hami sabai ko rakcha garun", mother nature gives a damn about it and take as many lives as possible again and again if we are not prepared. So let's be prepared not only for next disaster but for all disaster by changing yourself first.
