Hello,
I am planning to move to University of California at Santa Barbara(UCSB) in August. Apartment rent rate seems quite expensive. Are there safer but cheaper places to live? I am okay with little far from UCSB.
If anyone is there or familiar with the housing in this area, it would be great help.

Yes, it is bit expensive in Santa Barbara. If you are alone, it will cost you at least 800 sharing with some other person. Try to find somebody sharing apt in craigslist. I will ask one of my friend living few blocks away from UCSB to mail you if you let me know about yourself and your mail in detail. Like are you undergrad , grad with or without family / partner etc so he can tell you accordingly.

@divorceguy,
My intention of posting this thread is to look for any help or suggestion regarding living in Santa Barbara. Thinking that nepalese people can help, I started this post. If you cannot help, you don't need to comment.
