JRM Foundation for Humanity www.jrmfoundation.org Fahim Rahim, MD. FASN - Chairman of the Board
"We need all Nepalese American communities to come together. I just got a call from the mother of one of the young women from Seattle who lost her life in Langtang during the earthquake. She wanted to remind everyone about the warmth and generosity that Nepal and its people have offered to the world. She made it clear that she wanted everyone to come together as a community and support the victims to pull through this tragedy. We cannot and should not forget about them. The best thing that can come out of this tragedy is for the Nepalese community in America and around the world to unite. We cannot let the world nor the American government forget Nepal; we cannot let them turn this into another Haiti incident. I need your voice more than your money, and need it to be loud and clear because millions of Nepalese are counting on us. These are the people I shook hands with, and the people who hugged me and shed a tear with me. This is what this effort is about. Let us all unite so we can be a force that will move mountains."

Our Fundraising Objective
"With the support from Idaho Senator Jim Risch and several other members of congress, the JRM Foundation for Humanity has issued the following challenge to President Obama:
If we, the people, raise $1 million in donations (see last section for details), the U.S. Government will contribute $100 million to the human cause in Nepal for disaster relief, via our Nepalese non-profit partners to circumvent corruption and bureaucracy.
So far, we have surpassed $170,000 and with the support of the rotary club, we are on track to more than double that number in the coming week. (www.crowdrise.com/nepalearthquakes2015)"
Objective Summary
● Surpass the current $1 Million fundraising goal for $100 Million challenge
● Campaign to raise local, national and international awareness of the developing humanitarian crisis in Nepal
● Support and coordinate with non-profit organizations working directly with the Nepalese people, focusing on logistics, education and awareness, human trafficking prevention, medicine, sanitation, PTSD & disaster counseling
● Focus on reporting to the public, and document the ongoing situation
● Form an appropriations committee, comprised of various members in the U.S. working in coordination with the teams in Nepal to mobilize resources based on the needs of the affected communities
● Catalyze the rehabilitation of severely affected communities
● Our objective is to prevent the situation in Nepal from deteriorating into one like Haiti, therefore we are concentrated on raising awareness about Nepal to continue to coordinate a sustainable, long-term effort

Our current goal is to raise $500,000
Rotary clubs in US and Nepal are currently working with Rotary International on a global grant to match our funds 2-3:1, bringing the total to $1.5 million
By raising over $1 Million, our supporters in the senate and house will lobby President Obama to contribute $100 million to our foundation and its nonprofit partners in Nepal, circumventing corruption and bureaucracy

❖ Senator James E. Risch, Idaho
❖ Senator Mike Crapo, Idaho
❖ Congressman Mike Simpson, Idaho
❖ Congressman Todd Young, Indiana
