I have been a asylum applicant for almost two years. currently, I have EAD through aslum, and its almost time to renew it. Instead of renewing it, Can I apply for TPS EAD. In case I got TPS, would that make me eligible for MAVNI?

would that make me eligible for MAVNI? - Yes, if you fulfill the requirement that you are in united states for two years(MAVNI Requirement).

Yes I been here for two years, but not on single status. For the last 6 months, I am an asylum appliccant. Does this count as a legal stay? I was F1 before and never been out of staus

I m confused on who is eligible. Is it somebody coming after June 24 are eligible or what..one scenario, if someone came on B1/b2 on Jan 2015 is he/she eligible. I tried to get the answers thru various forums but was unsuccessful. ..any body any insight pls..thx

@mangale ... anyone who comes after 24th june is not eleigible to apply for TPS, they musht be continously residing from 24th june not after 24th june.

Lawyers have complected language..Since 24th means also from 24th not from/since 25th, 26th....or there afterward...dec 21st is just a dedline to register for TPS not to come to USA and apply for TPS.

I think asylum applicant will count as legal stay but not sure. Regarding your situation I don't know about much. The best thing would be to talk with a recruiter.

@drogba......let us suppose two situation here

Mr. X decided to visit his son in US for graduation, he flies from Kathmandu on 23rd June 2015, he lands at O'hare airport at 11:59 PM 24th 2015 and stamped on his passport as arrival date...he can apply TPS and work.

Mr. Y decides to fly from kathmandu on 23rd but lands of ohare airport at 12:00 AM 25th june and stamped on his passport 25th june as arrival date..he cannot apply TPS, even if he does he will loss his $515.

yes...thats what Since 24th june means, if it means since 21 st december than we can call all our family here in tourist visa and half or Nepal would be working here in US in no time.
