while going for road test you can change you address at that time too. Just go infront of counter and tell them i am here for road test and also wants to change my address. They will give you form to fill up. Its not a big hustle.

Simply change it online ASAPrather than changing it on the day of the road test. Then print your new address on a paper and paste it on the back of your permit. Easy....

After your road test , instructor will ask to verify your address. You can do it there. I dont think you can do it online (correct me if i am wrong) . You have to go dmv. Go to nearest dmv and ask them to change address. Last year it was 12 dollars.
I would wait till test date becasue you need your real LP on test and if you apply address change now they will give you another one ( Interim) without your photo on it.
