Thousand-Hand Guan Yin - Dance Performance
This is a dance performance performed by hearing-impaired dancers of China. The dance depicts Guan Yin bodhisattva (बोधिसत्त्व) in 1000 arms manifestation based on paintings and statues of Buddhist arts dating back as far as early 5th century AD, now preserved in Mogao Caves in Gansu province, China.
Guan Yin bodhisattva is the Chinese depiction of Avalokiteśvara bodhisattva (बोधिसत्व अवलोकितेश्वर) as Buddhism successfully infused into Chinese culture and civilization.
