Hi friends,
I am currently employed and my employer has filed H-1B for me. My H1-B case is pending, the case was received on Aug 4, 2015. OPT expires on Feb 4, 2016. What happens if my H-1B does not get approved before OPT expires? Can I continue with my job without extending OPT? Can I apply for OPT extension when my H-1B is pending?
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

I had the same situation a year ago. You have to wait for the result of h1b to apply for opt extension. do you have any idea why your h1b is still pending ...rfe may be....

Do you mean STEM extension? You can definitely go for that while your h1b is pending.

Apply TPS. This is the best suggestion you can get.

You cannot work once OPT expires.
You can apply OPT extension while H1B pending, I did my OPT extension while my H1B was pending.
