Does anyone know how long it normally takes for NIBL (Nepal Invenestment Bank Ltd) to return your passport once you are approved for an Immigrant Visa? My brother received his non-immigrant visa in like 3 days from the day he had an interview but I am hearing different things about immigrant visas. My wife passed an interview on Sep 6th and hoping to get her passport back by the 15th. Thanks in advance!

i don't have anything to contribute but just wondering how you paid the visa application fees. i need to renew my F-1 and will be going to Nepal in few weeks. i want to make an appointment before I leave US so that I can go for the interview right after I reach Nepal but I don't see any options of paying the fee from here. And it seems like NIBL doesn't accept payment from anyone else on behalf of the applicant.

I was able to pay mine on www.ceac.state.gov since it was for immigrant Visa. I doubt if you can pay the same way for a non-immigrant visa.

@bakwaas_kura

I assume you will be filling out DS-160? If so, it says someone else can pay the fee at NIBL on your behalf:

hi Gorkhali_Blood, thanks for responding, and also for the pm
I'm working on my DS-160 right now...and you're right, someone else can pay the fees for me. I called NIBL's head office and they confirmed it. The local branch where I had called earlier didn't know that. But now they do...so all is good.
Thanks for your input!
