I happen to watch a random Youtube video and it was about one of the poorest reason in India, and it dawn on me that Indians have a better sense of Nationalism. Us Nepalese talk a lot about our country but it seems we shy away from doing things that would benefit all Nepalese. Most of us are self serving and limited to ourselves or our family. All talk no action.
Currently there is no loadshedding in Kathmandu. It has been like so since last Tihar festival. It would be miracle to have 24/7 electricity in the winter season in Kathmandu if we believe what our politicians have been saying to us Nepalese since decades ago that the water level is low, etc. etc. Certainly this sudden change points to some kind of corruption in our government. Again if Nepalese have a good sense of Nationalism then they would be saying "Nepal or Nepalese First".
Nepalese seem to give priority to foreigners before our own countrymen. Just look at how white people are treated differently in Nepal.
It was sad to see in the news that there is now protest by special interests in Nepal against the upliftment of loadshedding . I assume they are those involved in alternative energy businesses, like solar panels, batteries, inverters, etc. Rather than thinking about how the availability of electricity 24 hours a day has eased Nepalese lives, these people are worried about their own interests.
Following in the Youtube video I was referring initially.
