There is a lot of misleading analogies floating in the web with regards to people who are skeptic of covid vaccines.

The misleading analogies are so basic to understand but the majority of populace will be happy to accept such an analogy as a godsend without analyzing the gaping holes in the comparision.

This analogy is comparable to saying "Elevator is safer than climbing up the stairs."

When you climb a stairs, your safety depends on your own senses, your own ability to balance and walk properly while the safety of the elevator depends on hundreds of variables that you cannot track. For example the rope that is pulling it. The pulley, the electronics, the service of electricity, the safety latch in case electricity goes off, the strenght of the baseboard, to name a few factors that can cause malfunction.

So to compare wearing seat belts to getting vaccinated is to compare an apple to a mango tree.

Wearing a seat belt is just plain physics, law of inertia law of momentum. In a speeding car, when it comes to a halt suddenly, passengers fly forward and cause injury or death. You can personally verify that.

But something like vaccine, that is coming out of corporations which have paid billions of dollars in fines for misrepresenting their medicine, and who have history of putting profit before saving lives, you have to be really brainwashed and blind to think that the seat belt and vaccine are same issues. Also the corporations are not liable legally for any vaccine injuries. To believe them 100% you have to be a real believer.

This conversation tends to continue for long time because this whole issue centering covid vaccines has become like a religion. Those who believe will go at any length to support their belief and unfortunately I am an atheist. So you are free to practice your beliefs.

Amen

Another misleading analogies is that polio measles have been eradicated by vaccines so vaccines can't be bad.

Vaccines as they are supposed to are not bad. When vaccines for polio, measles etc were effective, governments held more power than corporations, and they were able to do the right thing as far as vaccines. But over time, if you follow history closely, then you will find that corporate focused laws were made by certain US president(s) which allowed ease of corporate money to flow into politics thus enriching the politicians and the corporations. Once that happened the corporate greed has kept on increasing. These vaccine companies have paid over 5 billion in fines for illegal activities so you can imagine the kind of profits they have been making. If you are poor and have to pay a fine like that you would be spending the rest of your life in jail but these corporations have so much profit that they can afford to pay that kind of fine and still be profitable and continue their business and even expand more.

So before you start yapping about polio and measles and other vaccines that have been successful in the past, please spend some time reading politics history on how corporations started bleeding into politics.
