My mother had always told me not to play with sharp objects
As a child I didn't listen, who does anyways?
I still remember the first time I touched the flower
It was so soft and delicate,
I was too afraid that I would tear it.
The morning sun that touched my skin
I knew I was glowing with twinkle in my eyes.
Closed my eyes, for no apparent reason,
Felt the wind blowing on my face
So pure and fresh.
Even though it was just a feeling
There was a brightness within my soul
That no words can ever describe.
I felt you holding my hand
Smiled to myself,
Isn't life beautiful?
It's not a sickness that anyone can cure
It's not a wound that will ever heal,

One day I shall see the world like everyone else.
The blue sky where the birds fly so high
Different colors that will make me fall in love
Various shapes of every object I shall see,
No longer will I only have to suspect.
Not only will the mirror look at me,
But I shall look back at the mirror.
But for now the time has stopped in my life
Twenty four hours a day, seven days a week
Surrounded by nights, darkness has become my only friend.
