Okay, so me and my wild family have arranged for a 3-day weekend after a few weeks. If you were in the US east coast, what cities/places would you go visit ? What are some things that you can do to have fun? I can search web, but recommendations from vacation-specialists and fun- loving Sajhaties are more than welcome.

We don't mind driving to a location within ~ 400 miles radius from New York City.

Suggestions?!

I don't think you will have bad vacation if you go to Bar Harbor, Maine. You can easily get information about this place from the Web.

1. Six Flags (For kids and for umar pachpan..dil bachpan)
2. Bar Harbor, ME (The places you'll see in the movie "Cedar House Rules")
3. Atlantic City, NJ (Make money or lose some)
4. Ocean City, MD (nepalese students hookin' u up in almost every shops)
I don't think u'll be able to do more than this in 3 days... anyways.. don't forget to drink MIrindaa while u drive.. so that u don't doze off.

I'd suggest Pocono Mts of Northeastern Penn. It's close enough and yet so far away in so many ways from the humdrum of ratrace of a big city life.

You can also go to awesome amusement park which is near lake George...

and just few miles away from great escape is the newly opened casino

If you are comin' after July 28th and before labors day, you can also visit saratoga horse race course, which is not far from casino....

Kalanki,

A friend of mine lives in Albany and we've made two trips to Lake George in the last three weekends. Renting and driving a Power Boat in Lake George sure is fun!!

Great Escape- Been there done that...

Been to Saratoga several times..never had a chance to see the race though..

Adirondacks ko casino ma ta ke jaanu...would rather head down to Atlantic City ;)

Is that all upstate NY's got ? re kya ;)

Pocono mountains sounds very appealing !

Keep them coming folks!

I agree with Kirsten... since you mentioned that your family is 'wild', you and your family shouldn't miss out on St Catherine St's. perpetual strip clubs while you're in Montreal. :)

I remembered someone asking about places to visit in the east coast..so I had to dig out this thread...Shagadelic, where did you end up going? Care to Share?

The labor day weekend is around the corner. What are some places to see around Boston? I'm sure most of you are in or around Boston, so I'm hoping for decent number of replies :) May be I'll do quite a bit of driving that holiday weekend!! Any suggestions?
