could you guys post name of the university which has good Transportation/ Traffic engineering program. I have searched few from usnews.com but it is general engineering ranking. I am more interested in phd program inTransportation/Traffic engineering. i have visited websites of top civil engg schools ( GIT, UT austin, Berkeley). could you guys can provide list of top 20 Transportation engg program in usa, that will be very helpful. thanks.

A friend of mine, a graduate of IOE and AIT is completing PhD in Transportation Engineering from Wayne State University, Michigan. I think he should be able to answer your question. Being each of you an IOE alumni, I am assuming you would know him, or else let me know.

.Another friend of mine, a graduate of IOE and AIT (2002 April) is pursuing PhD in Transportation Engineering from TIT (Tokyo). If u are IOE/AIT graduate, you might know him.

thanks rbaral and neural. well, i just completed my M.S. I am thinkign about phd too, but i am not sure if i will go for phd or job. if i think about going for phd, then i should start searching good colleges here, thats why i started this thread. though there are jobs, it looks like most of the companies do nt want to sponser working visa.
