One of my friend asked me, "Why do you chat?" Hmmm I wondered, frankly I don't really know. So I was like, "Well I like to chat." But then I thought to myself, "WHY" and did not really come up with a good reply. So I thought I would ask you people and hear your replies. So ya let's hear your comments!!!!!!

Good question. Well, I think there might be a lot of reasons.Some of them: You have a lot of free time to kill You have no better things to do You have nobody to talk to in person You have friends/families online to talk to you You have a gf/bf who comes online You don't have a gf/bf and are desperately looking for one You are addicted to it It is fun too You feel lonely You think you can pick up gal/guy from chat room ....... That is all I can remember right now, there might more.One/more/or all of the above reasons make you chat. DP.

Oops lemme rephrase my qs. Why do YOU ppl chat or why don't u ? DP those were some good answers!!! Wanted to hear you ppl's replies. As for me, I have cut down on my chatting time coz I am tired of the SOME of the mods abusing their power by banning ppl. Why can't they simply IGNORE ppl if they find them offesive? Anyway all in all it ain't that bad a place!!!

You mean general chat or MSN?? If MSN then u catch up with your frends / parents/ relatives or people u already know . If it is MSN then u are trying to pick up. thats my opinion.

I chat because I can annoy this girl...umm her name is M*era. Man its really fun... The real reason behind it could be any of the following DP has mentioned. But I think chatting is kinda addictive as you get used to it..It becomes part of your life and its the perfect way to communicate with people simultaneously. MAtter of fact since using MSN for last 5 years..I find comfortable chatting through MSN rather than on thephone with old frens...guess it saves lot of time..and its multitasking...but again so many things could be misinterpreted in chat..but HEy big old LOL can squeeze humour out of anything controversial...:)
