Deuba is in India. Everyone must be reading the news. He's been successful to get couple of choppers, some tens vehicles, and some thousands rifles. Is it the solution for peace????? He should not forget that he is the Prime Minister of 27 million Nepalese people. He should keep in mind what people want? If anyone thinks that the Maoist problem could be supressed by Military power, forget it. I don't personally support Maoists. They have gone far away from their ideology. They are not Maobadi anymore, they have become kKaobadi. Anyway, one and only way to get rid of this problem is to hold talks. If we need help, we should not hesitate to ask for mediators, LTTE to come to this state was made possible only thru' talk. First thing we want to do anything in our country is peace. Not war anymore.

Furthermore....Why do all the political leaders fear to go to the Constitution Assembly???? If we do this, maoist's major demand is fulfilled. It could make easier to bring the maoists under process for election. what's the problem to face the election? To tell the truth, most of the Nepalese people want change in the Constitution of Nepal right away. King should be under the law, so that no more Paras shots our brothers, rapes our sisters. Or if people say no to the Dyanasty, we should think about it also. Let' elect President of the Republic of Nepal by ourself. No one will be head of the state by birth, no one will be Army General or Inspector General of Police by birth (I mean the continuous dominance by the Rana family or from any other similar castes), let's make Nepal a democratic country where anyone can dream of better life and better future.

Great Nepal Better Nepal

My points exactly Shiva. Well said.
I am sure not too many Nepalese agree with what Maoists are doing, but we also don't want the forceful control of the government for the price of Nepali lives. What we want is peace and normality that we were enjoying even being termed the poorest Nation in the world. No Political Party and definately no Maoist leadership is worth thousands of Nepali lives. We aren't fighting against foreign power here, just give us stability.

Constitutional assembly is a necessity (now even Political leaders realize that), regardless of whether we want to continue the tradition of Kingship or not.
