It worsens by all the ways you mentioned there.

1. Raja hundaa ta yasto chha nhudaa kasto Gaijatra hola.
2. Jyanmaraharu le shashan garna saklan khai?
3. Election is impossible. As Marich Man said that you must do it in 75 phases in 75 districts and the battle should be in Army's Helicopter.
4.If and only Iff Maoists agree for it. (Finally it will be the solution but not now after 10/20 years )
5.Euta rajnitik dal lai marera sakine bhaye ... Bahudal nai aaune thiyena ni.
6. Bagh budho ra syal tanneri!

APPROACHES

From the school of Optimism
-Learn to turn the problems into challenges and then opportunities
(eg: "Waste is not a problem but a resource"]

From the school of Cynicism
-Who cares? Jun Jogi aye pani kan chireko!

From the school of Peace & Love
-Organise a series of 'Miss Peace' Beauty contest with Nepathya as the ambassadors of peace, Declare Nepal, school, and people's bedrooms a Zone of Peace and light peace candles every fortnight from now on

From the school of Diversity Lottery
-Call for a referendum to see if people want Nepal to become the 52nd state of the
USA (Puerto Rico being the 51st). Once the referendum passes, lobby George Bush to dispatch h's trigger happy army to smoke out the corrupt and the rebels. Employment for Nepalis in the cities of America. Trade sovereignty for Amercan Dream. You can't eat sovereignty can you?

From the school of Division of Labor (Also 'Cowboy and Indian')
-Experiential tourism for tourists: they can choose either of two categories: state supporters ('cowboys') or Maoist sympathisers ('indians'). Let them take sides and fight each other out in Kalapatthar, Upper Mustang, Dolpa - in all the pretty places of Nepal - with guns supplied by India, US, Belgium and smuggled from China. The objective: to live to tell the tale on US TV networks - Oprah Winfrey, Larry King Live etc. Or create something like the teleseries on 'Survivors'. Convince the Khetan Group to underwrite the teleseries.

From the Lions have eaten the Lambs school
-Let Social Darwinism work, and let's hope that down the road Nepal will truly become the country of the 'fittest' or 'supermen/women", and no more of sycophants and bootlickers.

From the School of Extinction (which follows from the Lions and Lambs school)
-Those who do not survive social darwinism, create a Memorial and museum for them.
And charge the tourists through the nose to see what they missed seeing by a whisker.
The museum will have sections on the Janjatis, Dalits, Adivashis. Bring in the National Geographic...with beautiful Kathmandu expats working as curators.

From the school of Geopolitics
-Let India and China fight it our for possession of Nepal - the way India and Pakistan have been fighting over Kashmir.

From the school of Foreign Aid:
-Send a May Day to the G8, multilateral and bilateral agencies. "See the mess this country is in? Send in more money through hundis and money transfer companies. We will be more transparent, more accountable and more inclusive from next time. We promise."

From the school of Dylan:
-Sophia Loren, Bridgit Bardot - and the country will grow. (Just like their breasts.)
Just like a woman.

From the school of Buddhism
-World Buddhist Summit with Dalai Lama and Ani Chhoying delivering keynote speeches . If not, then sing 'Om Mani Padme huh', so that it reverberates from Mechi to Mahakali and touches each and every soul.

From the school of Hinduism
-Conduct a Mahayagya. Bring in Sai Baba, bring Guru Ravi Shankar, Mahesh Yogi, Shiva Sena, Manohar Joshi...make Chardam pilgrimmage compulsory for all Nepalis - so that all lives are transformed.

Have I missed anything?

-Karmapa

LOL Karmappa that?s funny?.
Yeah you have missed a few ? here I go?

From the School of Astrology
- Let Mangal Raj Joshi read Desh ko Bhavishya and bring out new Bhitte patro every month for the people. Separate ones for king, maoists and pol. parties and that too every month... with rahu ketu, brihaspati, mangal, shani, dasha and bhagya all mentioned ... very detailed ones u know!

From the school of NGOs
Ensure social inclusion, social justice, transparency, human rights, child rights, participatory approaches, context-appropriate programs! And don?t you dare forget gender equity!!! By-heart Millennium Development Goals! And practice saying "We don't know what nepotism is!" every morning when as you get up!

From the School of Bhajan
Bring Anup Jalota to Nepal ? and make him sing bhajans and make everybody realize the mercy of god. Translate the bhajans to all ~128 languges existing in Nepal and air them through radio Nepal and all FM stations.

From the School of Rock&Roll/Blues/Jazz
Make it mandatory for all English speaking/understanding Nepalese to play?

Imagine ? John Lenon
Wonderful World ? Louis Armstrong
Blowing in the Wind ? Bob Dylan
I'll go to Ka-Ka Ka Kathmandu ? Bob Seger??

? during their coffee/cocktail breaks! And while reading Nepali Times and The Kathmandu Post! And yeah they can shake their heads all they want! Ya ya yayayaya!

Some more left ... I am sure...

Creative Karmapa and blank, creative indeed.

Solution to the country's problem, in a rather serious note, is not quite objective. But if you insist on pointing to the specific cause then:
1.The need for a stable government (do we really care who is in the power? I don't, just let us live).
2. Employment amongst the nation employment force (age 17- 50).

I raised the last point few months back and ask you again. What would u do if you are educated (atleast attended some schooling) and don't have anything to do at home? You might not have any fields to plough and you probably won't want to even if you do have (education complex). Business is no good with the current situation and the only option you have is to raise arms and go looting or adopt Maoism.

The fixes:
1. A great leader is needed. Hard to achieve. What is practical is a complete overhaul of the constitution. Provision for leaders to create a stable government, w/o interference from Narayanhiti palace.
2. Create employment oriented ventures. Increase the army recruitment and supply to peace corps( quick fix).

I am being as objective as possible to send the message through. More research is needed, ofcourse.

DWI..I AGREE WITH YOU IN YOUR SOME POINT OF VIEW..BUT

-WHO IS THE STRONG LEADER TO SOLVE OUR COUNTRY PROBLEM?
-DOES OUR NEXT LEADER SHOULD OR MUST EDUCATED?
-DOES WE NEED ANY CRITERIA(EDUCATIONAL) FOR LEADER AND LEADERSHIP?
