According to Sunday - Sagarmatha TV, my answer is---"I don't do the wrong judgment." It is because "one can't judge the whole people of Nepalese community do wrong in thinking.

The question has been rising that the judgment of Dashian&Tihar-DC dance competition was fair?

The way of judging to the innocent Nepalese dancer's performance was sarcastic that made the dancer's self-esteem down for coming enclave's events. It was believe that the judgment board from the huge Nepali ethnic group of DC metropolitan city, was assigned to broadly define and fairly pick the candidates who have presented the best performance simultaneously.
Wasn't it true that the prizes were the key reason to evaluate unfairly?
Answer is yes.., it was anticipated that different winning prizes were awarded to three winners, and over a dozen Nepalese dancers were solicited on 5th Nov,04.
Hundreds of people were gathered, and among them more than two-third audiences have found about the wrong judgment to select the winning candidates because of high prizes that ever granted.
The commons senses should be used that the awards must grant on the basis of dancer's proficiency, fashion, and nation's oriented tradition and culture that people believed in.

Thank you for reading ..................If you wish to talk, you can

gallant,
you sound an adult. I hate to go back to school to learn English grammar and styntax again, but this web site(?) provides an on-demand dictionary the moment you click the word you are not sure of. The first meaning of the word 'loser' posted there means "one who fail to win". For a moment I thought in American English the first, or regular, meaning might be a bad one, and I myself checked it out. I reread my own posting and also those from you etc. There is nothing wrong with those sentences if you want to read it with positive attitude in mind, as GP has complained. I'd better be careful now that there are kids out there (OOPS ..one more sarcasm) reading my lips.

I guess you are right I have ego. Thanks for pointing out. I hope that this ego will carry me further ahead from where I am.

GP,
You sound more like an instructor forgetful of doing what you preach but want to preach all the time. You seem to like twisting meanings. You did not answer my question before. If you are a person with positive thinking, you could read my sentences and extract only positive meanings from there. Other than typos, nothing wrong with the sentences! Try your positive thinking yourself first, will you? No offense was intended, as posted above.
You used word "insult" which I'd not have done, at least not to kids who are the future of my beloved country I want to be able to go back to! Insult'd be the last thing ...

Sorry to kids who were offended by my otherwise correct sentences. By now the confusion should have been gone... I mean loser = non-winner

I do not love to, and seldom do, play with words, but I can.

Testdirector
The point I am trying to make here is on ON HOW YOU POSTED" In this context I don't see a big deal if the prizes had been given to losers, but the winners were not worse than the actual losers" You thought that the winners were worse than the ones who did not win.Well guess what the prizes wouldn't be given to the ones who didn't win cause like GP said it was already decided who it would be give too. What I am trying to say is that give some credit to the ones who took part in the dance either they won or lost and stop insulting them cause you need guts to take part in something like this, which you didn't. And talking about correcting someone's english trust me nobody's english is better, be it from Nepal, people from England or from this same country itself. do you really think if your ego has this type of attitude it is going to take you place? Well guess what I ma sorry you are really stupid matter of fact I take that back you are stupid.

1st of all I don't have to argue with you guys. I made a topic about "hottest, newest, and latest" issue. We don't see a big deal to quarrel as MaNepaliHo said. It is too late, so we just can't do any thing, but talking. It is to late to lock the stable-door when the steel is stolen. As I earlier mentioned, we had to rise the question to our societies, if they have gone to the wrong direction. Any way, I would like to talk personally with testdirector, do you know something like: " a half a loaf is better than no bread." you understand my English at least. I think, you try to eliminate the topic, and rise the issue to attract me personally by saying the syntax errors (is that right spelling s"yntax" I type, it is cuz I don't copy as you type "styntax" . I think your word or the word you used in message styntax doesn't exit in english). why didn't you point out about the logical errors, and fatal errors.
you also talked about "loser'. I don't have to look the meaning of the world "loser" in dictionary; in spite of, you have checked yourselves. Do you think that we are confused at words"looser" or loser." Yes, as you said after checking from dictionary, you found and try to teach us the world 'loser,' that is a verb meaning "to misplace" or "to not win." And, do you want to know that weather we know the adjective looser mean ?????? I don't know what do you want to talk. Besides, I wonder how dare you talk weather am I adult or kids? That's not your business. ............. Sorry for being rude.

GP baaaa!! Sorry, was extremely busy last week. eh... couldn't reply. hehe...

But, hey, here I am, back in bizznizz.
GP baaa, of course I am a nice guy, what did you think? Like baaa like beta. :) Recommend me to mother of a sweet daughters, will ya? eheh... It's about time I got married. ;)

GP baa ko naam GP and his never ending Linde-dhipi!!

About ur reply on 11-30-04.
Me? and sarcastic? aba baa sarcastic nabhayepo beta sarcastic hunna, told ya, like baa like beta. ;)
Me? and eccentric? From your point of view, I might be eccentric because I am thinking differently than you, but from my point of view you are not only being eccentric but also hyperopic because you are reading things that I had never mentioned in my earlier post. Where did I say I enjoy free drinks? And which "ANA" convention you went to, gave away alcoholic drinks just because you were registered. Baaa... I guess somebody bought you a drink, which you thought were for free because you had paid for the registration. LOL!! baaa.. you might have forgotten to thank the person who bought you a drink, you should call him right away and thank him for a drink he bought for you.

If you wanna ask me if I enjoy free drinks, I'd love to answer you that I DO. If somebody is givin' something away for free, why should I have a problem accepting it IF I WANT TO?? What's so wrong with that? It is not my problem. If somebody buys me a drink, I don't ask him/her why he bought me a drink, do I. But, insted I might buy him/her a second round of drink... Baa, change your mentality will ya? ehh... baaa haru yesto bhaye hamro ke hola???

And about mine not understanding an issue, I guess you were talkin' about "democratic society" in this thread. Why should I care about what you wrote on some other thread? eh...baaa ke bhaa yesto?

About your second post on 11-30-04
Baaa, are you trying to come up with another pigeonhole principle? Do you think society will follow the rules you have mentioned? Well it's easy coming up with four "how the Nepali society should be" rules, and FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW those four rules are like Universal Truth. But hey, they are not something like pigeonhole principle you can implement on certain given condition. Society and Life and human nature don't follow any given rules and regulations, there is always certing "bending" occurs throughout the time, so you can never implement your break-through-four points. So, just keep them with yourself. It's like saying "Everyone in this world MUST be college Graduated". Don't you agree with that? Well, tell you what, who's gonna flip the burgers if everyone is graduated? :) So, comparing your four rules with the argument I have given, your rules for Nepali society don't hold any strength. So don't try to come up with another pigeonhole principle .... :) haina ta?

Okay, haven't got to read rest of the postings. My bad... eh... I am tryin' my best to keep up with this spinnin' world... Baa, you should join me too... If the world is spinnin' clockwise, I can't beg to differ, can I?.. Neither You can.

Oppps, back to reality... laterz

Yes, Renaldo and friends, people enjoyed a great deal. However, I am averse to your opinions because of the unfair judgment. It looked partially competitive. You guys truly welcome to post your comments, and ideas concerning this topic.
I appreciated the way of job has done at DC dance competition. And, I welcome the Happy New Year event that is on the way back to us (on Dec 31 st, 04). Only my dislike was the decision has made favoring to the well known person of judges. Isn't it right that not to tolerate someone selfishness? Anyway, please constant keeping in post your affirmative or reluctant ideas. Thank you.

Gallant
I agree to what your saying, but look at it this way its useless now cause there is nothing anyone can do to change the decision of trhe judges cause even if all the people asked them or requested them they will still stick to the decision they made, think about it. What mad me really mad was about the comments TEST DIRECTOR made about calling them loser in a way that really insulted them. Then he says he meant it in someother way, he thinks the comments he makes it right. You tell me if you were in the dancers shoes and you read the comments he made about losers, how would you feel, wouldn't you get mad. Firstly they have to deal with the judgement made by the judges and then after the competition you have a pesron like TEST DIRECTOR instead of thanking them in puttin up a good show and performance talk crap about them and insult them. TEST DIRECTOR how you you feel if you were one of the dancers? Think about it and then make comments don't just talk about something you really don't know . I really don't mean to be rude out here, its jus the way you talk bout things that cuase no only me about other readers. The point I am trying to make here is that JO HUWA SO JUWA AAB JO HOGA DEKHA JAIGA and HONE KO KAUN TAL SAKTA HAI.
Thats all I have to say.
Peace be with you all.

Gallant,
I do not pretend to be preaching while arguing for my sentences. I was just pleasingly surprised to find the tool this excellent web site has provided us and was letting you know just in case.
The word syntax was typed wrongly. That was my boo-boo.

I can take your rudeness without a problem, so can I be stupid, no problem. As I said earlier, I did not mean any insult and there is no insult to anyone whatsoever. In the context of winners, losers are just the opposite: ones who fail to win. I can't do anything about it as it is the way English is written and spoken. I know the other meanings of the word, too, but I explained it was not meant as an insult. I do not even now see anything wrong about my sentences.

Also, I'm enlightened by you letting me know about the words.

I have a question: do you really think it's not my business to try to imagine what your age could be? Think again!

If I fail to win a game, I won't mind me being called a loser even if I put up the best show as long as I know what I did and my capacity. Been there, done that! I'd taken part in essay competitions, quiz contests and poem reading competitions(Remember Radio Nepal Baal Karyakram?), but needless to say I did not come close to any of the winners anywhere. Yes, I WAS A LOSER in each of the contests. So what! I had asked myself how I could have done it better.

There is another aspect of the whole thread ... the winners... you guys care about someone else's feeling, which is appreciable. But by raising the same issue this thread has, what might the winners feel after reading this thread! I hope they too will take it graciously and prepare for the future. What about the organizers?

To be honest, it is a good idea to encourage these organizers to do more of these kinds of competition more often. This is my bottomline. You may not agree, but I can't help there.

HELLOTestdirector, I understand your feeling. You, now, should know one thing, we should argue as much as we could; but, remember, we are friends. Eventually, we have to create the good UNDERSTANDING among us, please don't forget we are just friends, there is no reason you lose and I win or you win and I lose by exploring the ideas as we like.
This is SAJHA thread, Sabaiko SAJHA< fortunately, we have met a SAN DAI, who's great contribution gives us the chance to make the blast here........
Please, do not take anything seriously, I believe this topic is not about what will winner or misfortune (I mean loser) people feel or say? And, I don't put their generosities down as I believe. You know some of them are buds, and rest of them are blooms spread the perfume, and themselves consequently be flowers and produce seeds for new generation, they will dry when time come, and one day they will vanish from your sight. You don't have to worry so much that how blooms feel after reading this thread. The winner and the loser could see this thread, and communicate as they like. Can I say that I don't like their dance, don't I? And, It is not all about that we talking, It is about the judgment that is not fair. There is not necessary your comprehensive ideas concerning of judges protection. After reading your message, it comes to conclusion that you feel bad or I have type some word that could deceive your feeling; in fact, you said "can I be stupid, no problem." My thought was totally different from you have realized. How about, if I present you the "GREAT ," will you accept it? Finally, thank you very much for your encouragement to our organizations to do more ethnic events.

Like KaLaNkIsThAn said a while ago on this thread, one winner and only happy family. Rest are all loosers and most of them not without any faults of their own. More than the participants, it's the family and friends who whine and whine and whine and whine.

"Judges' decisions are FINAL". Get with it. Live with it.

BTW, like Six Strings asked, "Who won?". Or do you only remember loosers, your relatives.

Who were the judges? I'm sure you remember them as they didn't pick your little ones as the winners.

Good Job: this discussion might have positive imapact on events organized
at some other places, well, the organizers of the last Dashain may not
read this thread, but, at least Sajhaities got some idea whats going on
among Nepali Societies in Washington or in US. At least you can guess that
the societies are run at this moment by closed circle of a few core members
who don't want that society to go to some deserved members. They want
to have monopoly and such practice also extends to ANA, some ANA
's FairFax even participants were telling me.

Thank you GuyS!
keep it up! keep noticing for bad asses. GP bro I am proud to have you here,,,,,,,, I don't know much information about the ANA; however, I live in DC metro. I only know that some CHAMCHE HARU also belong to a group, a Nepalese group. Moreover, those CHAMCHE HURU always trend toward their advantages, but forget to create the structure of group's goal.
AS you said, yes, there were some other dancers who had shown the best porfamance than the winners.
