can someone please help me translate the following subjects. for some reason, i can't remember what they correspond to in english-

purba byabashaayik-
shaaririk shiksha-
davabaran (?)-
gratirikta english-

i'm reading these off of a student's mark sheet and may have some of the spelling wrong. please bear with me, but try to help me out. hos ta dhanyabaad.....

Naitik = Moral
purba byabasayik = previous businessman
sharirik shiksha = Physical Education??
davabaran? whats that?
gratirikta english??? whats that?? LOL

i don't know either. that's why i'm asking you!!! thanks for your help, though. i guess in america we call moral "ethics." ani previous businessman?! what does that mean? i thought purba means east!

oh, my response was to kalanki. cl, i guess you and i wrote at the same time. but if i had a dictionary, i wouldn't have posted this thread.....

i am guesising but not 100% sure

purba byabasayik = pre-vocational
gratirikta english - optional english

Naitik = moral (science)
P.b. = pre-vocational (pre-professional?)
s.sikchya = physical education
Atirikta angreji = extra english

all are subjects that need to be studied. I also studied them. Man, who could forget "Ramele dakaryo", "Kanak ko kamij fatyo", and in english book " HOw Bhairab Saved Ram sing' s life" and so on........

Purba is for both past and paschim... (should have been Purwa)....

Byabashaik { byabashaya is business } so byabashaik must be businessman.

davabaran? I've never heard of such word... is it "aabaran"?

there is no such word as "gatirikta" that I know of. Must be "atirikta"... which means "beside".... hmmmm.

yeah maybe it is atirika, but the copy is all messed up. the first letter looks like a "ga." no, it's not "aabaran", but maybe it's databaran....whoever wrote this has horrible handwriting!
