I need to construct HTTP server through Java....basically the proxy server keeps track of all the files that are attempted to log in ..and also returns HTTP error msgs..if it cant carry certain function..any heads up start would be much appreciated :)..I am really rusty as I havent done this in such a long time..

use linux as an operating system.then download apache server and install. then it can be the http or the proxy as configured. can configure for java apis......
