Been abt 3 years since am off the idiot-box ! :(:( No tyam .:(:(

Except for occasional watching.....scan all 50 plus channels, find the most interesting one and settle on the sofa and fall asleep promptly ! Usually movies or sum National Geography. Do a quick dance/sing aloud fo a catchy song on Music channels.

See BBC/CNN or whatver news channel for news. [ they had Hot newsreaders on CNN sum years back...lol...:p ] Oh yeah I simply love BBC Holiday. :) The folks there showcased Nepal abt 4 yrs back. Showed Pokhara, sum mountain ranges, Chitwan and Thamel. Lol.

Check weather online.
Would like to watch Dexter's/Tom 'n Jerry/Powerpuff [ Pokchu :p ], if only I had more time. :(:(:(

whenever I can I watch Daily show with John Stewart and two and a half men. When I first came to the States I used to watch evertything after 3 pm starting with After school special to family ties to Magnum to .. oh gosh, I don't even remember those names anymore. Well it lasted for about six months and got oded on TV viewing. I have not relapsed yet.

Daily Show with Jon Stewart(the 7 pm repeat)

Bill O'Reilly and also Countdown with Keith Olbermann. I switch between the two. When I get tired of Dilldo'reilly's nonsensical blather, I watch Countdown.

Southpark when possible

Seinfeld repeats, and also Curbing your enthusiasm repeats. Again, I switch between the two.

Carnivale on HBO

I really love some of those HBO shows like John Leguizamo's(sp?) Sexaholix. oh, and anything involving George Carlin.

I watch about 2 hrs of TV everyday. Don't have time for more.

For late night shows.. I prefer Jay Leno's show.. I just love him. I heard this is his last season for nbc late night shows :o(

For news channel .. I prefer CNN.. i like all the anchors from CNN.. Anderson Cooper, Puala zahn, Larry King.. & many more. I hate fox news channel and their anchors can they be any more biased??

For stand-up shows i love Dave Chapel's.. he is hilarious :o)

Don't worry, Jay Leno will be hosting Tonight's show another five years before handing it over to Conan O'Brien.

On the NEWS front:

I like ABC News. I like their news quality. Plus, I find Peter Jenning's enunciation crisp and clear, perhaps because he is Canadian.

I don't like Fox News. I think they are too much in Republican Party's party. I sometimes find Bill O'Reilly entertaining, but most of the time, merely buffoonish and nonsensical. But there are others like Sean Hannity who are way too much inside Elephant's butthole. Fox News as a whole is too biased and I just can't take them seriously.

Even CNN I find little bit tilted to the Right, though not as much as Fox.

BBC News is always very balanced and they have more worldwide coverage than any of the American ones.

For those who can catch, Canada's CBC News is probably the best. Their "The National" is of highest quality that not many news programs can match.

Among Sunday Morning News Shows, I find This Week with George Stephanopolous the most insightful. I have been watching that show since David Brinkley used to host it with Cokey Roberts and Sam Watzisname. These days, I like Fareed Zakaria's political analysis, along with George Will's.

Law and Order, L&W SVU, L&W Criminal Intent Practice
NEWS definitely BBC yeah CNN too Anderson Cooper is fine but Paula Jahn ummm she is ok except for Middle East reportin she won't let middle eastern decent or sympathizer put their opinion she just keep on interruptin which i hate.
I do enjoy Leno but i think Conan is not ready to fill his shoe. Its so embarassing that idiot publicly blackmail to be in 11.35 pm slot just so pathetic.

Well well well what to say about Fox. If it tilt little more it will toss whole world like a soccer ball.

f I got it right, average Americans watch 4 hours of TV everyday. I personally watch less than 2 hours of TV on weekdays. I don't watch much TV on weekends (except movie & news). How much TV do you guys watch and what are some of the things you don't miss on TV?

neeta ji! whats up G (can you guess what G stands for?)

The only comedy show with George Lopez is the Gege Lopez show on ABC. I don't think George Lopez has any other show on TV.

KeEp_RoCkInG! how many CSI shows are there? one for each city in US? I can't wait to watch CSI boston... hehehehe

As for me, The only shows I watch on TV regularly are Seinfeild, simpsons and who can forget Desperate Housewives. It is one of few shows on basic channel that can be compared to shows from HBO and CINEMAX. The show reminds me of HBO's 6 Feet under and sex and city.

I don't watch MTV because I dont have cable and I don't have cable because I don't watch ESPN (Why spend $50/month on something I don't use?) I wouldn't watch weather channel even if I did have cable (why would you want to know if it is snowing in Wisconsin?) And lastly,I get my news from NPR and PBS. They are not biased like FOX news.
