War-weary, ordinary Nepalis interviewed in the capital Kathmandu said that if they had to choose between peace and democracy, for which many have been pressing, they would choose peace.

But days for corrupt leaders and their sons/daughters look very gloomy.

Talking about sons and daughters, who is worse - Paras or Sujata?

Step,
Couldn't agree with you more.
Orion, which one is better? One Paras or several thousand Sujatas?

Use your mind bro.

Neither. The only difference is you can vote out Sujata's dad but post Feb 1 you can't even criticize Paras, let alone his dad.

Depends on what you call peace.

Was Nepal peaceful during 30 years of Panchayat or 15 years of Democracy?

Simple as that.....

I want those days back.

What I am saying is, if you ask those who were torn apart during these 15 years, they will want something cool like Panchayat. No fear....just go to farm , come back, cook, eat, sleep, go back again.
This is majority of our national population.
It may not be Panchayat, but something similar....I can something is cooking.....almost ready

Which is a good news, at least for a non-political and peaceloving farmer's son like me.

DeepBlue - I see where you are coming from but Gyanendra has taken away even the right to own property so hypothetically if he doesn't like you or a member of your family, he can take away your farm and all other property. This is no Panchayat - it is sheer madness.

I am not speaking for smarta$$es, for common people like my dad, there is no reason for the king to dislike him.Someone who lives (wants to live) his life quietly, there should always be peace.
