Nothing!!!! Oh yeah, nothing at all. I don't have to wait until Valentine's day to give her a gift. I am going to have a long chat with her. Buying expensive gifts during festivals (or any other occasions) makes me sick. Instead of just enjoying the occasion, we think that buying expensive gifts makes others happy (it might to some people, who knows???).

Has anyone noticed how all the festivals and occasions have become a marketting tool for businesses? We should be ashamed of ourselves. I deny to receive any gifts from anybody and try not to give them either.

Anyone can go to a store and buy stuff off of the shelf. But only few people take that extra step and give you something that really means something to you. I would rather receive a hand-written postcard because that person took that extra step to think about me and write something. I keep all of the postcards I've received in my life. Now, that's the real gift when someone writes a word or two about you.

While everybody is doing it, I think I will buy a rose and a postcard for her.

just a thought.....
