Now that five party have formed alliance. But NC(D) is in and Narayan Man Bjukchhe's Majoor party is out fro this alliance. I don't understand this newar guy Bijukchhe... this is the time to form strong alliance to protest the King... But he says he doesn't want to be in the protest. What's this guy looking for.. helping king? The newars of Kathmandu are really strange people... indeed they are the one who brought democracy in falgun 7, 2007. And because of those kathmandu newars multiparty system came in 1990. And becsue of them the king G took all power this time. What a strange newars.

Five political parties form alliance

KOL Report

KATHMANDU, Feb 26 - Five major political parties Saturday announced a common forum to wage a non-violent protest against the Feb. 1 Royal move.

The parties said the Royal announcement is against the spirit of the Constitution.

Nepali Congress, Nepali Congress-D, CPN-UML, Samyukta Jana Morcha and Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandadevi) today formed the alliance to launch peaceful movement in the country.

A joint statement issued by the parties today said: "The newly formed five-party alliance would run non-violent movement demanding restoration of democracy."

However, Nepal Majdoor Kishan Party as flatly refused to join the alliance saying that the NC-D and the UML were instrumental in bringing the present situation in the country.

The parties also called on all the democratic forces to join the peaceful movement.

The NC which had earlier denied to recognize its breakaway faction NC-D's entity, today joined hands with the party to go jointly for democratic movement.

Demanding the restoration of democratic process, human rights and press freedom, the parties also asked the government to release detained political leaders, human right activists and journalists immediately.

The alliance is scheduled to begin its programmes from March 8 onwards.

Here go boy. Newars. Huh. You have the answer in u r question. Racisim thats the problem. As u said the majority who lost their life in 07 were Newars. What Happened after that? Nepotism, corruption, and all the other social ill.

So, newars give up their lives so that some corupt leader can do whatever he wants.

U r questions shows one of the deep rooted problem in Nepal. People like u is the reason for the problems.

FYI, Bijukchhe is from Bhaktaput not from KTM.

Well, they got attached to their houses built in Kathmandu Valley. So why would they go back to villages to start revolution or protests.

Yet, again they are begging for the restoration of democracry from the King G. How pathetic!! What can you expect formo these bastard political parties???? They are begging from King G, whcih also means they have accept the dominance of King G. And that's the main problem with these parties and people have totally understood them. So people will not be supporting parties for quite a while unless King G makes a grave mistake and causes deep torture or discomfort to the people.

About Narayan Man Bjukche, yes he is from Bhaktapur and newar. But he is 100% for not joining this newly formed alliance. That's how newars stand out to be sincere race in Nepal !!! Learn from them. Well of course there are some rotten newars who learnt dirty tricks from other race.. but overall you better adore them for their adherance to principles, manners, sincerity.

There should be rational reasoining for mass movement. Currently, people trying to bring back multiparty are not getting momentum because of the simple reason that they are not trustworthy.

Remember the blood spared in KTM valley. Patan, Bhaktapur and KTM were like war zone. Police hardly dared to step in the gallis.

So, why there is no support now? One simple reason no trustworthy leadership. The current movement will never gain popular support with current leadership.

And seeing people by their cast first is fueling the anger in minority. Look at the threads. Its filled with racial tensions. Calling somebopdy BHote, Newar guy. One thing u all should be carefull is BHote is for Tibetian. U calling Nepalese from mangolian decendent bhote. There are also Newars with Mongolian decendents. One of the example of racial tension is in this thread where these Puskhar guy uses word Newar guy. With this kind of feeling there is never gonna be solution. It will just provoke people and push the country to further instability.

Everybody like it or not "THe Nepal should incorporate all the Nepalese with all the beliefs." If any movement needs to be successful it should have popular support.
