Reading this thread made me want the poem below which I've memorized for so long....

When she rises in the morning
I linger to watch her;
She spreads the bath-cloth underneath the window
And the sunbeams catch her
Glistening white on the shoulders,
While down her sides the mellow
Golden shadow glows as
She stoops to the sponge; and her swung breasts
Sway like full-blown yellow
Gloire de Dijon roses.

The last piece of the poem above.....

She drips herself with water, and her shoulders
Glisten as silver, they crumple up
Like wet and falling roses, and I listen
For the sluicing of their rain-dishevelled petals.
In the window full of sunlight
Concentrates her golden shadow
Fold on fold, until it glows as
Mellow as the glory roses.

Here's a poem उही महान D.H. Lawrence को

SILENCE:

SInce I lost you I am silence-haunted,
Sounds wave their little wings
A moment, then in weariness settle
On the flood that soundless swings.

Whether the people in the street
Like pattering ripples go by,
Or whether the theatre sighs and sighs
With a loud, hoarse sigh:

Or the wind shakes a ravel of light
Over the dead-black river,
Or night?s last echoing
Makes the daybreak shiver:

I feel the silence waiting
To take them all up again
In its vast completeness, enfolding
The sound of men

Emily Dickinson's letter below to her beloved Susie speaks volume.

It's a sorrowful morning Susie--the wind blows and it rains; "into each life some rain must fall," and I hardly know which falls fastest, the rain without, or within--Oh Susie, I would nestle close to your warm heart, and never hear the wind blow, or the storm beat, again. I sthere any room there for me, darling, and will you "love me more if ever you come home"?--it is enough, dear Susie, I know I shall be satisfied. But what can I do towards you?--dearer you cannot be, for I love you so already, that it almost breaks my heart--perhaps I can love you anew, every day of my life, every morning and evening--Oh if you will let me, how happy I shall be!

The precious billet, Susie, I am wearing the paper out, reading it over and o'er, but the dear thoughts cant wear out if they try, Thanks to Our Father, Susie! Vinnie and I talked of you all last evening long, and went to sleep mourning for you, and pretty soon I waked up saying "Precious treasure, thou art mine," and there you were all right, my Susie, and I hardly dared to sleep lest someone steal you away. Never mind the letter, Susie; you have so much to do; just write me every week one line, and let it be, "Emily, I love you," and I will be satisfied!

Your own Emily

Somewhere on the other side of this wide night
and the distance between us, I am thinking of you.
The room is turning slowly away from the moon.

This is pleasurable. Or shall I cross that out and say
it is sad? In one of the tenses I singing
an impossible song of desire that you cannot hear.

La lala la. See? I close my eyes and imagine the dark hills I would have to cross
to reach you. For I am in love with you

and this is what it is like or what it is like in words.

-Carol Ann Duffy

scarlett,

It was just an arbitrary letter....my first post....and many people here do not know what corressponding threads were like then, there is no point criticizing over what was done put almost a year ago...I am in a different frame of mind and would rather not comment.

this thread was decimated....shouldn't have revived it...please create your own thread henceforth.

just a request,
John

John G,
After reading your letter full of love, malai ta yo nagma yaad ayo.. ani gungunaune prayas gardai ..

Hamne dekhi hai un ankho ki mahekti khushboo
Haath se chuke yise riston ka iljaam na do
Sirf ahesaas hai ye ruh se mehesoos karo
Pyar ko pyar hi rahenedo kohi naam nado..
Hamne dekhi hai...

Pyar kohi bol nahi pyar awaz nahi
Ek khamosi hai sunti hai kaha karti hai
Na ye bujhti hai na rukti hai na thaheri hai kahi
Noor ki budh hai sadiyon se baha karti hai
Sirf ahesaas hai ye ruh se mehesoos karo

Muskuraahat si khili raheti hai ankho me kahin

How pure and nice feeling...

John, is there any way i could possibly end this thing, besides by not writing in? I really am not too familiar with the ways here. :) Got your note.

Dearest S....!

Into the dark night with your feline grace,
the grapes that you peeled,
memories of the garden of eden,
of the bluish paved flowers,
that I paved at your doorsteps,
O' the dancing fairy queen,
look! the northern lights are singing,
falls of hibernation,
have brewed with its lovely witch,
me and my friends of the jungle,
together with the corridors of creek,
I am scared for this dark night roars,
this pageant of horror,
Come O Come!!!!

beloved Bob!
