1974 AD rocks its way into Spielberg film
Indiana Jones Part IV to be shot in Nepal
This may come as music to all
Nepalis. The Himalayan Kingdom?s
premier folk rock band
1974 AD has been signed by
the legendary Steven Spielberg
to provide the soundtrack for
his next mega venture Indiana
Jones - Flight from Shangrila.
Apart from the band, top
Kollywood director Narayan
Puri and veterans Neer Shah
and Sunil Thapa too have been
sounded out for the prestigious
venture.

weekly Movie Today quoted
Tom Hagen, the spokesman
for Spielberg?s Dreamworks
productions, as having said the
celebrated producer-director
decided to sign on the Nepali
band after attending their live
performance in Melbourne
two weeks ago, where he was
holidaying with his family. ?Mr
Spielberg is absolutely floored
by the authentic sounds of
1974 AD,? he said, adding that
the Nepali band has been
bound by a ?non disclosure?
clause in their contract, which
prohibits them from speaking
to the media.
When contacted in Kathmandu,
band leader Nirakar
Yakhtumba confirmed the
news, but politely declined to
elaborate. ?We are bound by
the contract. I am really sorry
we cannot speak to the media
about it yet,? he said.
