Traitors dream. Maoists will never be succesful by killing the innocents. God grace! Huh! Maos do not beleive in god. No freedom. Fighting with failed philosophy. Losers.

What do u say about this?

Nepal Maoists declare indefinite school closure

(IANS News) Kathmandu, : Nepal's communist insurgents have announced an indefinite closure of all schools across the country from Thursday when the kingdom celebrates the start of the Nepalese new year.
The call has been given by the student wing of the underground guerrillas who sent emails to school authorities and educational associations, warning that they would bomb classrooms if their call was not heeded.

The disruption would affect about 8,500 schools with nearly 1.5 million students.

The banned student wing of the Maoist guerrillas have called the closure of schools "forever" without giving any reason, said Umesh Shrestha of the Private and Boarding Schools' Association Nepal (PABSON).

"Since they have given no option, we regard it as an attempt to create terror in schools for political reasons," Shrestha told IANS.

PABSON and other associations of guardians, teachers and human rights organisations have appealed to the rebels to withdraw the announcement.

They also held a meeting with Education and Sports Minister Radhakrishna Mainali Monday.

Though the government has urged the schools to defy the closure call and promised security, parents and school authorities are not assured.

"Kathmandu valley is not likely to be affected by the closure call due to the concentration of security forces here, but it will be a different matter in the outer districts," Shrestha said.

"It is not possible for anyone to provide all-round security to the 8,500 schools scattered all over the country."

According to PABSON, the rebel students had been circulating the disruption notice from nearly two months ago. Recently, they have started targeting schools to intimidate school authorities.

Two weeks ago, the rebels reportedly set off a bomb at a school in Butwal district in southern Nepal. Blasts in or near schools have also been reported in Dang, a Maoist stronghold in central Nepal and districts in far western Nepal.

The announced school strike comes in the wake of an 11-day countrywide shutdown announced by Maoists from April 2, ostensibly to protest against King Gyanendra's coup on Feb 1 when he sacked the government of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Closure of schools has been a frequently used ploy of Maoists during their nine years of escalating insurgency.

"In the last academic year, many school in trouble-prone areas could have only 120 days of class out of 220 class days," Shrestha said. "It is causing incalculable damage to future generations."

Despite repeated calls by international organisations like the Unicef and UN to respect schools as zones of peace, Maoists have been recruiting minors who are asked to carry weapons and explosives.

They are also reported to be abducting students from classrooms for indoctrination programmes and fighting security forces on school premises.

The armed uprising, inspired by Chinese leader Mao Zedong, seeks to overthrow monarchy and establish a communist republic. It has killed over 11,000 people, displaced tens of thousands and destroyed infrastructure worth billions. (World News)

He blames political leaders for blood, How about Bardia and Khara?

He blames to leader not capable of conducting elections.. what a bullshit he is saying to start election from good place?

Well why do u need democracy? why the heck do u need election? where are u going to do election?
Well, if u planing to entire election of nation in tudikhel then go ahead. Do u think is it possible? Common dude, if girija wanted to get rid of gyanendra sarkar. He could have done when there was a massacre in palace. He was quite that time and comes later after being kicked( afaile khaneko khaltho maa pare pachi) it was grand design. I think he is right to blame politican. During whose reign moaist get powerful. It was girija. Man he gave chance to everyone to show what they can do? nobody can prove that they are the right choice for nation.

Show me one person from politics who can run nation?
Dude, staying in america and thinking nepal dont make patroatic. you have to go and see the sitution yourself. You cant belive how many ppl are happy with him? Do u know he knows the price of beaten rice( chuur) in asan. He knows whats going on? dude, to be good politican, you have to be good as gyanendra not like late king, he was too soft.

May be u r one the blind guys who still make riot for congress party who wants to make nepal another sikkim then call me gyanendraminded..........yes, i am but i have seen vision in his eyes.

Highfly

Political parties have been doing such things like "school bandha' and "Nepal bandha" countless times since 1990 so up coming "school bandha" is nothing new at all.

Why do we have to worry about it so much this time anyway?

What is so special about it this time around ?

Such school bandha will come and go as usual.

By the way, as long as the Nepal Army is loyal to the monarch, the monarch will continue to try to force the whole nation to dance to his tune. He will shortcut democracy and all the civillian affairs in the way he sees fit and at the times he sees fit for unforseeable future.

Gyane doesnt pay from his pocket to run the military but poor taxpayers do so there is absolutely no reason why should he control the military that he has no right over.

I may not support every single view of the Maoists however I do support the view of the Maoist over the issue of control of Nepal's military that the military should be tightly controled by the taxpayers not the monarch. If the monarch continues to keep his grip on the military either the military will be gone or the monarch.

For this reason I do not disapprove armed ressistance created by average taxpayers of Nepal against the monarch or his army as long as he doenst give up his grip on Nepal's military.

Man, thats the problem. Poltical parties have no rights to target schools. Basics: No schools should be targeted by any poltical parties. If they call band, they do not have rights to enforce it. If people feel like opening shops or schools they do not have rights to attack them.

Schools, colleges, minors should not be part of the dirty games of politics.

Arent we here all talking about rihts and freedom? How can rights and freedom bestowed by taking away basic rights.

Maobadi, I have great respect for Che although I do not beleive in his philosophy. He is the one who stood for people. But look at Cuba now. And u cannot compare BRB and Prachanda to Che. It would be a disgrace in the name of Che. Just read u r other post about Che. I liked it. But man, does communism works?? Does it bring power to the people or take away power from the people??

Peace

The King of Nepal is a dictator. He has not let out the political leaders and he is saying there will be election. Election against whom? The Rana Family and His Cronies? and who are going to vote? The Army?

Doesn't look like people will be able to vote.

My prediction follows:

1. Within a couple of years the economic downturn in Nepal will be so bad, people will start killing each other for food. With all the wealth exported by the Marwadis already and Gyane hiding gazillions of dollars in Swiss Account, the people will be left with nothing. Look at the way things right now. The garment industry and tourist industry are in slump, and I don't need to tell about other industrial and business actvities in Nepal. People are moving away from Nepal, even my family is now investing in India. No more work in Korea, and you guys must have heard about the 25000 people returned from Kuwait or Qatar. With no international support, what do we have left in Nepal. The Kings 14 crore Rolls Royce and Paras 28000$ (custom unpaid) Harely, and rest of the people to be doomed.

2. The army requiring more and more money (with the Rana General Commission in mind), we will have nothing in our National Coffers. Yeah maybe Chinese will give us some Yuans, but you know what they say about Chinese. Marya Chinesele Jiudo Indianlai thagcha. So you can guess what Chinese can do to us.

3. With the above scenario, we will face anarchy, a land of lawlessness, the maoist killing rampage will not only continue, there will be other smallers groups, some even government sponsered that will put the "sojha-sajha" janta through hell.

4. Then everyone will start blaming the King and his cronies-- who by the time will already have emptied the national coffers and living a lavish life in foreign land. I can sense some of these people at Sajha who are already doing this.

5. It will take at least 6-10 years before Nepal will get back on its feet.
