Hey guys there is a band called "AYURVEDA" from Ithaca, NY with two nepalese guys Shikhar Bajracharya and Diwas Gurung. I heard them last week when they opened the show for this big boston based band. They are really good... If u wanna listen to 'em visit this web site http://www.ayurvedamusic.com , you can download some of their new songs. I wish them best of luck for their future.

they are very good. loved it! i was several years senior to the lead guitarist in high school. i remember this lil kid walking around with this indian acoustic guitar. he sounds awesome now. the frontman (who i assume is the songwriter too) has that rock n roll voice too. my only concern is that the music is a bit heavy, while the melody, the guitar riffs and lyrics are almost mainstream rock, so i wonder if there is a big market for that blend. i am not the rock star with poetic license, but i would go a notch easy on the distortion. anyway, this is a wonderful accomplishment, and i wish them all the best. does anyone know if when their debut CD is due?

I liked their stuff. Hushbabe- How much is too much? and it's not punk rock at all. I thought their distortion level was decent and that is how they wanna sound. We shouldn't be judging their music based on the kind of music we like to hear. Some one who is into Hip-Hop might say, they need more bass or someone who is totally into Nepali folk music might say hey..they are missing a madal and sarangi... I liked the way they are. I'mma ask them if they wanna come to Cancun to play for us.

I heard a manager or a producer of System Of a Down was interested in their music and they are going to California soon. I wish them a good luck and hopefully we will hear some nepalese making their names in a music biz. Zalim Singh i think u were right i it was lil bit more on distortion but over all some really amesome songs.

damn! they are really good. Diwas was my friend's friend and he did told me he was good when they played with Albatross but looks like he improved a lot. I liked their 80 style rock and the singer has really good voice. Good luck and hope we will see some nepali on MTV.

I like their song "Treason in the 1st degree".
They should make songs similar to that than the distortions in the other 2 songs.

Best of luck AYURVEDA !!!!
