coffee is absolutely right. I am kinda caffeinated right now, so I completely agree with coffee. What kind of coffee?? I don't really care.

Wait, I am going off topic.

As far as choosing which one study, Libra (wait a minute, that's my sign, nice, eh??) you should study the subject you enjoy the most. Now, I don't know the difference between Master in Science and Master in Engineering, but they both sound hard to me.

As for me, I am fine with the .NET. Thanks to those genious (or however you spell this word) who came with this genious platform.

Off topic again, see. told ya, caffeinated,..........

Libra2005,

How about you do some research on your own instead of creating a new thread for every question you have. I highly doubt most of the people here have the answers to all your questions - at least not accurate answers.

If you do full master level work, almost all universities in US give you a M.S. degree. Some schools like MIT have M.Eng. degree which they give out to their MIT undergraduates only who are not pursuing PhD and want a quick masters degree.

But as far as I know, all top engineering colleges require you to acquire a M.S. degree before you can pursue a PhD degree. Thus, to answer your question, M.S. is generally a better degree.

Depends on what you want. There is nothing like "better" between MS and ME. If you want to do research leading to thesis work, then MS is the best bet. It also opens your door towards Phd. If you want few courseworks and a project instead of more challenging thesis, go for ME. This would lead you to the job market quickly with less toil. But JOB MARKET is all about experience and little will the MS vs ME thing gonna count on it. If you want Phd, go for MS.

Lately ME is a better choice. There are a lot of jobs related to electrical engineering and Master's degree is counted as 2 yrs experience. So it will be help you to get a job too.

To add little, research ( shorter version of thesis) with MS can go for PHd.

I agree with what Nepalean has already mentioned before. MS is more research oriented and hence you need to be creative and come up with research ideas. ME is more project oriented. One other thing that I would like to mention is that getting admission in MS is harder than getting admission in ME. So some people just enroll in ME and then after a semester or two switch to MS upon the approval of the department and a good GPA. But the result is basically the same besides the fact that MS also opens the door for PhD. Usually professional experience is preferred than a class project and so I don't think it makes much difference whether or not you had a project unless it's outstanding and you can prove that to the employers. So in my personal opinion MS is better than ME.

Both are good and both are NOT good. It depends on how much you know and what ability you have to utilize your knowledge.

Undergraduate is better than MS if a person with undergraduate degree knows more that Masters degree holder.
