It is good to have internet access after almost a month. It's hard to imagine what one would do without a computer or internet in the developed countries, yet time seems to pass just fine without one. Spent almost a month in the western part of Nepal and it was as close a reality check as it could get living amongst the villagers and sharing their natural resources. A two day trek from the last known vehicle access, the trip was challanging to say the least.
Before I ventured off into this project, I was kind of apprehensive about how it would turn out. Now that i'm back, it feels like it was a fresh breath of air in my life. There is something about living so close to nature without too much technical advancements. So little connection to the civilized world that not even a doctor in sight for miles and miles.
Blissfully unaware of the political game going on in the capital, these villagers are examples of how disconnected out country is and how it will continue to do so for years to come. It is surprising how one can get used to simple life and learn to enjoy it so much.
