Recently I saw this Movie and I realli liked this Movie,Hope you will enjoy this.

The don is back, so what if he is old. And, also so what if he is sixty plus now. After portraying various shades of a criminal on run in films like 'Deewar', 'Adalat', 'Don', 'Agnipath' and others, the veteran this time wears costumes of a political super boss. He is boss of bosses, for whom there are no rights, no wrongs, only power. Power that he has attained posing himself as a messiah of the poor and common people. He works for them by opposing the system and those who exploit the masses within the system. Meet 'Sarkar', the new icon of power in the political circle. The lord of masses, Amitabh Bachchan, meets Ram Gopal Verma, the doyen of realistic cinema in 'Sarkar'. 'Sarkar' also brings Amitabh and his son Abhishek on screen playing father and son for the very first time.

For, Abhishek, this film can be another 'Zanzeer', a film that set the stage for Amitabh Bachchan to leap from a struggler to a super star. Ram Gopal Verma directs Big B in his 21st film and pays tribute to Francis Ford Coppola's 'Godfather' in his own style. Ram Gopal Verma admits that had he not seen 'Godfather' during his college days, it would not have been possible for him to make 'Sarkar'. He also says that he wants to bring back those images of Big B back to silver screen that once made him an angry young man. So, fasten your seat belts to watch the best performances of not only Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek, but also a bunch of other talented co- stars like Kay Kay, Katrina Kaif, Rukhsar, Ishrat Ali Khan and others.

Amitabh Bachchan plays Subhash Nagre, a character that resembles Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thakray's, in all respects. Nagre has a French cut beard like Thakray; he wears Rudraksh, waves hands and even has a family just close to Bal Thakray's. Subhas Nagre runs an undeclared parallel government. His decisions are final in his area and have no scope for an appeal. His elder son Vishnu (Kay Kay) develops passion for power and money too. His ambitions are withheld by Sarkar because the latter doesn't want to do anything harmful to his people.

Vishnu also runs film production business as Thakrays's diseased son Binda used to hold; he sets his eyes on the heroine of a film and when he comes to know that the heroine is in love with the hero, Vishnu kills him. This creates ripples all over the city, and Sarkar throws Vishnu out of his home. Sarkar's younger son Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) has come back home after studying in America. He takes the least interest in his father's business and is happy with his girlfriend (Katrina Kaif).

Vishnu joins hands with the rivals of Sarkar and in the meanwhile Sarkar gets entangled in the web of a conspiracy and is jailed. In his efforts to get Sarkar released, Shankar learns that there is a whole nexus working against his father and it is here that he decides to take the reigns of his father. He brings Sarkar out of jail and finishes all his enemies, including his own brother. A new Sarkar is born. The film ends where a crying woman addresses Shankar as Sarkar. She comes there to get some help from him. A sequel in making?

'Sarkar' is another milestone in the career of director Ram Gopal Verma who started with a film on underworld's interest in student politics, way back in 1990. From then onwards Ram Gopal Verma has created a realistic underworld on silver screen that has never been seen before. His villains don't shout; neither they hold Monica darlings by waist and nor his heroes preach. Verma's characters just live lives as per the story line.

If 'Satya' shows how a commoner can get into the web of crime and head the underworld, 'Company' depicts the real rivalry between a master (Dawood) and his prot? (Chhota Rajan). 'Sarkar' looks straight into the criminal scenario that is ruling the country these days. In Manish Gupta, Verma gets an apt writer who has created the needed atmosphere with the story line. 'Sarkar' also gets good support from the background music composed and created by Amar Mohile.

If a film like 'Sarkar' belongs to Ram Gopal Verma, it is none other than Amitabh Bachchan who could do justice to a role like that of Subhash Nagre. He speaks less and communicates more with his eyes and gestures. A scene where an underworld bully Rashid comes to meet Nagre and offers huge money in lieu of permission from Sarkar to get his consignment off- loaded shows the intensity of Big B that he commands even today. One more scene where Amitabh is lying on bed after being hurt with a bullet and tears roll down his face, the silence and emotions of his face communicate more than words. Abhishek Bachchan tries to match his father with all his capabilities.

He also enacts some good and impressive scenes post-interval. The scenes where he confronts Kay Kay after the latter attempts to murder 'Sarkar' is the high point of the film. Again, when Abhishek as Shankar comes to tell his father that he has finished his own brother, depicts the uniqueness of the story telling of Verma. Marching with the leading cast in rhythm are actors like Kay Kay, Supriya Pathak and Rukhsar as wife of Vishnu. Katrina Kaif shows all the uneasiness needed to portray a character whose boyfriend gets entangled in family matters. All in all, 'Sarkar' scores distinction mark in the litmus test on box office and a perfect film to watch out for.
