Hi I know that to maintain Canadian PR you have to live in Canada for 2 years out of 5 yrs. What i would like to ask is, Is it possilbe for a wife to go to canada and live there while the husband stays in US( as his green card is being filed) and maintain status for both? Meaning wife maintains status for both Husband and herself. Legally this may not be allowed but has anyone tried it?

I think this is allowed. The clause is to either be present physically or maintain close family/business ties in Canada. Only an opinion..

I think you can do that too....But Like I said Iam not an Immigration lawyer. Call Canadian Immigration services and ask them ( Pretending that you are stuck in School for another year and half for your masters).
