The drama is continuing.

-----लेकसाइडस्थित रत्नमन्दिर दरबारबाट सहिद चोकमा रहेको अञ्चल प्रशासनसम्म डेढ किलोमिटर मौसुुफ पैदल हिँडिबक्सेको थियो । सर्वसाधारणसँगको भलाकुुसरी, पुुष्पगुुच्छा र बिन्तीपत्र ग्रहण गरिबक्सँदै त्यहाँबाट अञ्चल प्रशासन आउन छ घन्टा लागेको थियो ।

सर्वसाधारण राख्न बनाइएका कतिपय ब्लकहरू मौसुुफहरू सवारी भएको एक घन्टासम्म पनि खाली नै रहेपछि प्रमुुख जिल्ला अधिकारीलगायत सुुरक्ष्ाा अधिकारीहरूमा तनाव सिर्जना भएको थियो । 'लौ मानिसहरू भर्न पर्?यो' भन्दै प्रमुुख जिल्ला अधिकारी योगराज पौडेल खाली ब्लकतिर ओहोरदोहोर गरी सुुरक्ष्ााकर्मीलाई निर्देशन दिइरहनुुभएको थियो । रत्नमन्दिर केहीबरदेखि बैदाम वडा प्रहरी कार्यालयसम्म बाँसले बारेर बनाइएको ब्लकमा सर्वसाधारणलाई राखिएको थियो । रत्नमन्दिरबाट मौसुुफहरू पैदल निस्केपछि जिविस सभापति रमेशबहादुुर भट्टराई, प्रजिअ पौडेललगायतले लामबद्ध सर्वसाधरणलाई राजावादी नारा लगाउन निर्देशन दिइरहेका थिए ।

पैदललाई व्यवस्थित पार्न स्वयंसेवकको बिल्लामा सादा पोसाकका सुुरक्ष्ााकर्मी खटिएका थिए । सर्वसाधारणको बीचमा केही सादापोसाकका कर्मचारीले माइक लिएर 'राजा अघि बढ, तिम्रो पछि हामी छौं' भन्ने नारासमेत लगाए । एक घन्टा पैदलपछि बडामहारानी थाकेर आराम गर्न फर्किबक्सेको थियो ।---------

When are they going to realize that such public relation attempts only results on negative P.R. as far as 10s of thousands of commuters on the street who get affected when streets are blocked off for such 'sawari'. I was in Ktm few months back and the amount of times the roads are blocked for such sawari is just absurd. These royalites should either start travelling anonymously or use a helicopter for thier travel within the cities as well.

The economic cost to the city of such a sawari would form an interesting undergraduate thesis in economics...

Instead of superficial PR attempts he should do the following:

1. Stop taking money from the Government. For gods sake, doesn't he own couple of large industries in Nepal? The profit from which he enjoys tax free. His popularity index would go way up as soon as he renounces the people's money. I mean comon he's got billions of dollars why does he still want to act like a leech on Nepali Tax money?

2. Stop acting like a God. For heaven's sake. Who are you bluffing? He's just another human being like everyone else. He's gotta get little more real.

3. Stop being above the law. Try to be a ruler that tries to do something good for the country instead of floatin on air most of the time try to save face from criminal activities of his son. Stop making all the stupid laws about not writing anything bad against the king.

4. Stop making fun of the people by putting corrupt and criminals in his government.

That would be a good start for his PR.
